Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Of course it was one of the original navailsed aircraft for the Kuznetsov and was dropped in favour of the Su-33

The MiG 29K in service with the Indian Navy is a Navalised MiG 29M and would actually be pretty good in game considering it is a Gen 4.5 airframe.

Yeah but India is not planned to move out of Britain and I don’t think British mains would be happy about a Fulcrum in their tech tree, so…
Tho the Mig-29K could be put in the Russian tree as Indian, wouldn’t be the first time they put a vehicle out of its subtree in another nation

What do you mean they have been asking for additions like it since India got announced for the UK.

Problem is Britain are nearly out of top/high tier additions.

F-35B
Typhoon Tranche 3/4
Harrier GR.9
Tornado super late…With 120Cs and ASRAAM
Hawk 200?

Thats really it, the sub trees of India and SA are going to have to be used to flesh this out. MiG 29KR, Su-30MKII, Tejas and Cheetah

Every experienced British mains I asked are strongly rejecting Sovietic-made Indian vehicles, they say it doesn’t belong (which I agree with) and UK lacks many historical vehicles (which I also agree with)

Aeralis in a couple year too maybe ha (a man can hopium)

Define “every”, define “experienced”. A fair few are fine with having them so long as they make sense.

I know, but it’s the same for like half of game nations, it’s like that and imo it’s not that bad. The Tejas can maybe work in the British tree but fulcrums and flankers really don’t belong, that would be like putting algerian Su-30MKAs and Su-35Ss in the French tree

I remember @Morvran getting on the bandwagon for a bit with the SU-30MKI but I can’t remember if he was serious at the time or not.

I would put him in that definition.

tbh “experienced” is excessive but I could put basically everyone with thousands of battles in the boat.

SU-30MKI being heavily Indianised, Indian requirements and Indian built with being its primary jet fighter for a long time would be a good example of a “Russianesque” vehicle to the UK TT “done well” if added at the right time. Similar to the T90 in my view. Not really just a blank copy (though the T90 was added at a bad time imo).

Not really as Algeria isnt a sub tree for France.
Su-30MKII is also heavilly modified with British/Israeli/Swedish systems. It is being configured for ASRAAM and ASTRA missiles.

India is the largest operator of the Su-30 and India is a British sub tree…If it was to be added Britain would make the most sense.

I am very much against soviet C&Ps in our tree. When so many british aircraft are missing, it’s just not needed

It could be considering seeing how Gaijin threw India in Britain (no I don’t want this it’s a terrible idea but you get what I mean)

I know but it’s still a flanker with most Russian armament

An that doesn’t make sense

I appreciate your presence and input on the matter.

Yeah, if gaijin added it at the same time as a Hawk 200/Harrier GR9/new eurofighter or something I would think that would be reasonable/fine though. It all depends on when/what its added with on how people react I wager. (none of that “got copy paste instead of unique” issue)

I’m fearing it being our first ASRAAM slinger and the typhoon being denied ASRAAM because they want to keep it at a lower BR

Nah first ASRAAM will either be a hawk or jaguar probably lmao. Gotta make sure that the plane isnt too strong xD

The problem is, the Indian Su-30s are still capable of firing most Russian warfare, and if we start mixing all the tech in tech trees they’ll all lose their uniqueness

India is a sub tree of Britain

Well we would have had Austrailia or Canada or New Zealand…

It is a Flanker, the rest is unique. Radar is being upgraded to an Indian AESA, Engines are also being upgraded
