Well its not a TGP its just that a nav/flir pod. Could be useful i guess with GPS JDAMS and ASM-2/B (if they add it) in order to pin point a location on the map and then use that to either set the gps for jdams or IOG for ASM-2/b. But otherwise its true TGP is sniper pod.

Yeah, doesn’t work like that.
Usually they do just enough so it looks like they like Japan if you don’t think about it, while in reality it’s still broken messes, half-assed additions and a near complete lack of research, so the same as everyone else really.
It’ll probably be like Type 81, where the IR/EO imaging is implemented as Strela contrast seeker so they can pretend they added a mechanic “for Japan”.

Thai Hornet also would lack HMD. It’d be like the finnish Hornet, but with air to ground and maybe a bit heavier if they go for the two seater (all 8 were completed as two seaters, even those intended as single seat)

You mean like the R2Y2s that are removed, Ho-Ri and F-16AJ and literally nothing else? Not really enough to make a rule.
I’d even argue since R2Y2 engines were made, and Ho-Ri prototypes started construction they are more like Panther II situation where they are wrong because they are inaccurate to the vehicles they represent, but not fully against the rule.
A real R2Y2 without cannons, wing mounted engines and torpedoes, or a Jagdtiger style mod-casemate Ho-Ri still fit Gaijin suggestion rules, same as a historical Panther II does. Many, me included, even want the historical ones to replace the current.
The only thing ruining the statistic is the F-16AJ, which Gaijin wrongly assumed had a prototype (though that was an unrelated US project), and which was only added because they vehemently refused subtrees for the longest time.
It could’ve been a very real early Indonesian F-16 for example, and hopefully in the future that’s what it’s replaced by.
So I’m sick of these vehicles being treated like some special bonus, when they hurt more than anything and Gaijin refuse to do the changes they need to fix these issues.
