Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Anyway… whether it’s U.S, Russia, France or whatever, there’s only one thing clear…

Air top tier has been pampered for long enough xD.

It’s time for Ground top tier to get something!

Starting with the highly needed new SAM systems to deal with the OP C*S plaguing the mode, and followed up by more and actual 2A7/122 counterparts- both via new additions and via long overdue bugs that should have been fixed years ago but have been ignored to this day.

Well, I can’t speak for everyone here, but I hate the preferred treatment of the US tree just as much as the preferred treatment of the USSR tree. The main reason people complain more about the US currently is because the USSR tree hasn’t been getting as much attention lately.
There definitely was an uproar about the R-77-1, but that died down quickly when people realised that it’s just a R-77 with extra range.
There also were and still are plenty of complaints about the USSR trees’ privilege of being allowed to have by far the most powerful SPAA (Pantsir) AND Air to Ground missiles (Kh-38MT), while the rest of the world gets nerfed weapons or nothing even remotely similar at all.

Bruh, as if HEAT rounds werent already unreliable enove.

I can’t agree more, there is horrible gap there with LOT of choices IRL…

While thoses ~3 last years Gaijin did really cool work on French top air, their work on top ground is really bad, and i’m polite here.

Yep. When I talk about ground love, I’m not just talking about the dozens of potential additions left (sidegrades and minimal upgrades are fine, since we got lineups here); I am also talking about fixes.

At this point, fixed Leclercs, Merkavas, Type 10s, etc, would feel like entirely new vehicles altogether.

But they just don’t care. Several bug reports with literal photographs of Challenger 2’s LFP spall liners, “accepted”, still have done nothing about it.

There’s a gap for SAMs/SPAAs, but in terms of MBTs there definitely is no gap

Fixed Leclerc would put them at 15.0 at this point xD

9.7 → 10.7 (one tank) ->12.0.

Personally i call this a gap.

And don’t start me on the lack of support vehicles (IFV, light tank etc)

I know you mean 38MT. But 59 would be pretty cool as well, later on

Right, fixed it lol

One thing I see when arguing why one nations should get 20+ additions every update and others nothing is people forgetting there are other BRs in the game.

Like the excuse for X or Y nation get next to nothing is that they don’t have anything for top tier. So? add stuff at lower BRs, after all both domestic and C&P vehicles could go there(aka back fill with missing vehicles/variants) well waiting on the ability to add the next top tier vehicle for said nations.

Gaijin’s focus is clearly top tier usually.

Recently they worked more on lower tier but it’s rare i found.

Sure there is a lot of stuff for a lot of nation to add from reserve to cold war/pre top tier, but saddly the work here is smaller.

IFVs/Light tanks, fair

You were replying to a comment complaining about the lack of top tier additions, not about BR gaps tho

“but in terms of MBTs there definitely is no gap”

There is gap in your sentence but you didn’t talk about gap? x)

And i showed you a gap.

I was talking about top tier, as the comment you replied to also talked about top tier. Context matters.

You lost me here, but anyway.

Just conceptualized infantry TT around inf squads. Interestingly aircraft secondaries would likely work well for squad loadouts.

How about adding the weaker variant, but not alongside more powerful, but equally powerful options for others.

Yes, adding a weaker aircraft in the same update is just a straight downgrade, but that’s not the point, the weaker aircraft would’ve been there sooner. Essentially all nations should have roughly equal aircraft if they are available, and only skipped if there is nothing to fill such a role.
The better variants should still come alongside their equivalents.

Not sure what they specifically could’ve done for Sweden here, but I’m sure there’s someone with more knowledge of the various Nordic nations air forces that knows more, or can at least confirm this is the best they could do for now.

That isn’t because it’s not the best Finnish F-18, it’s because Sweden was already lagging behind in the top tier department with the Gripen showing its age notably, only to be rewarded with an objectively worse version of another nations vehicle at the same BR. Context matters.

And people wonder why Enlisted isn’t as popular as Battlefield

Italy and Britain would have been fine (and the Typhoon barely adds anything over what they already had. But Germany had no choice and there was only one fair thing to do
