we are talking about RAF ones specifically. though US ones could get meteors since they are probably going to be tested on those first after all, and with lack of official info on AIM-260 might be necessary for long range option
We still havent got a Revenge-Class. So that is what im expecting for us. (its an easy C&P)
Would kinda prefer KGV or even a decent Destroyer/Cruiser option (like a County-Class destroyer). But I dont hold out much hope for that
Tested doesn’t nean anything again Gripen example but counterpoint being the US cries and gaijin gives them whatever they want because they weren’t meta for 1 patch.
Now it wouldn’t be surprising if Meteor was worse than Aim 260’s because they cant make their favorite air nation.
GRB has Revenge class, KGV, Vanguard as modelling, so yeah maybe one of them.
Anyway, as Gaijin implies they will give iconical battleship this year, I think now GRB will face lack of penetration while boast best of survivability, which is contradictory to most other nations.
Britain+Europe tax is gunna result in meteor having less range than an Aim-120A
Swedish air Tax means Meteor wont have any fuel and just sits on our pylons. Ultimate way to finally kill off sweden air like they’ve been doing for years
Bonus note, ASRAAM is gonna be bootleg SRAAM with Aim 9B seeker lol
Will Sweden even get AMRAAMs on the Gripen E? Let alone Meteor? :P
Thats if Sweden gets the Gripen E, was thinking new premium for the US or Italy.
Probably Brazilian one for either
Thats what i was talking about.
Tbf wouldn’t suprise me. We already have US players claiming swedish bias since the Worst 14.0 is apparently better than the US F/A-18C but america mains try not to get the worst winrates challenge is literally impossible for most of the base bombing parasite fighters i see at top tier.
Where is this happening? I must laugh at these people…
The only “Swedish Bias” in this game is the amount of heavily armored Leopard 2s they have at top tier. Meanwhile Germany only has one of their MANY possible variants. (cough 2A6EX, PSO-VT, TVM-MAX, 2A7+, etc.)
I must have missed this. I have seen people complaining vice versa though.
Only time I have seen people saying Swedish bias is with regards to the Strv 122Bs.
Oh i agree with the leos its insane as for the F-18 look no further than the subreddit and youtube. Also a very common spot to find parasite players who only know base bombing and have top tier jets…
Is it the same trend as Spanish Hornet? There isn’t any sign of Brazilian, Spanish or Turkish stuff coming to Italian TT, unless it has some relations to Italy like Turkish T-129 (Mangusta derivative) and F-104S TAF (export F-104S), Spanish VRCC (Centauro export variant), AMX A-1 (Brazilian variant of AMX joint venture).
So far only vehicles directly unrelated to Italy are coming to its TT from 2 nations: Hungary and Romania.
Brazilian Gripen E for USA claim I don’t understand either.
Brazilian Gripen E is joke referring to when the Gripen first came out and there was a post to give the US a Brazilian Gripen, same deal with Italy prior to Hungary. It was more so me poking fun at the US players though
Shouldn’t have fumbled that empire then.
Main problem with this, why would casual FPS players join WT infantry. For example BF is easy to get into, why would a person who enjoys modern FPS settings play WT, where they have to grind for weeks or even months through ww2/cold war filler to get to the modern infantry they want to play.
You play BF lately? So far it’s been miss after miss.
There’s also the appeal of playing through various eras of conflict. You start late Interwar, and work your way through WW2, to Cold War, and then Modern. I’d also say that many normal folk would likely consider Cold War modern enough, at least after a certain point. Probably not Korea, but once you start getting to Vietnam, or at least late nam? They’ll probably start considering it modern enough.
And if it is that big of an issue, Gaijin will split up that tree like they did with Naval.
Relatively speaking, War Thunder is also more realistic then a lot of games, which, in a sea of arcade shooters, is always nice. There are milsim games, yes, but they aren’t fast paced, and tend to cheap out on the vehicles, at least in my experience. Games like Tarkov are also a thing, but they tend to be PvPvE extraction shooters without combined arms gameplay.
War Thunder is also a well established brand, which means a lot. May seem small, but there’s a reason Gaijin, in effect, has smashed together like 4 games under 1 title instead of making 3-4 separate titles, and branding is one of them. Your more likely to play a game that has been around for over a decade, been consistently updated, with tens of thousands of players daily then you are a new title.
Just the past few weeks? lol
I am pretty sure this has been a major on-and-off topic for years now. Everytime the idea to buy more weapons from the US is brought up the discussion sparks up again.
BF1 slapped, but yeah I do agree with the others. I hated BFV and 2042 was just meh.
Regardless. I’m personally just waiting for the next BF (which should be coming sometime within the next 2 years I hope) for modern FPS and just use HLL or rising storm for my ww2/vietnam era fps itch.
WT infantry will likely end up similar to naval. A lot of potential and hype initially, but soon everyone will find out that it’s a buggy and balancing mess and it will die out quick and quiet. Don’t think many people from that “untapped fps market” would even reach the modern infantry in the trees lol.
Besides that a grind tree system for infantry is just a disaster waiting to happen.
To be fair, Infantry, besides vehicles involvement, wouldn’t have same disparity (at worst) as BBs vs Cruisers with Coastal being completely sidelined and useless
