Well, R-60s are pure garbage at that point, so they are not even an option on those planes
As to why the Sidewinder carrying planes have to grind through the modules, easy, Gaijin loves money.
Afaik the amount of RP you need stays the same even if the modifications didn’t exist, you would just have one thing less to unlock. They could still put the IRCCM missiles at a lower spot to make you grind other potentially useless mods first.

We already needed that before. I’ve seen more Eurofighter players crash than get killed in plane to plane combat
I’m really hoping Gaijin does some sort of decompression next month. I’ll make another thread outlining what I would like to see later on, but we really should AT LEAST go to 14.7. We are in need of another “13.0 → 13.7” -esque decompression spread like they did last year.
The Rafale and Eurofighter are simply in their own league, very closely followed by the F-15E and less closely by the Su-30SM. Decompression was needed back before this patch went live, but Gaijin decided to recompress BRs AGAIN.
Anything more than minimal decompression is the end of the world to Gaijin, so I doubt it.
Yeah true. What prompted the 13.0 → 13.7 “decompression” that they did last year was the addition of Fox-3s being more intensely game-changing than they expected.
We got no such major changes this patch other than an upped quantity of Fox-3s in general.

Seeing how staff members are defending compression to the tooth and nail in other threads because “without full up tiers there would be no variety in matches”, I’m starting to doubt we will ever see the decompression the game needs.
First, it was a “queue time issue”.
Now, it’s the second time they state that “it’s because they are fun”. Although last time it was an official response and this time is just an opinion from a staff member, I still don’t feel it’s a good sign that this perception (real or not) is spread among the company.
I just wish for a proper decompression, instead of the usual “everything at the top BR moves up regardless of if all vehicles deserve to be moved up”.

The matchmaking system definitely encourages imbalance, and they also wantonly add vehicles they know will upset the balance, especially in the top tier. I became convinced of this a while time ago. My only hope is that they’ll implement floating (or dynamic) BR on vehicles. That is, the BR can vary depending on the modules and ammunition you have activated in your vehicle.

More seriously, I don’t think it’s time for stealth fighters to be added (out of april fools). The game should add what it lacks at current tiers before adding more modern stuff, and right now there’s so much stuff lacking… At pre top tier, we lack many aircraft like the A-6 and a few F-100s fighters, and at top tier we lack planes like the F-2A and earlier, less op versions of the Rafale and Eurofighter. 5th gen should come when the game has nothing earlier to add
I don’t even understand why they added these versions of Rafale and Typhoon before their earlier versions, like why did we get F3 Rafale before even getting the F1 or F2? They should take their time more and stop this modernity race that is going nowhere good
