There are multiple types of seekers. IRCM of KA-50 will not be effective against for example IRIS-T. IRIS-T has a IIR seeker, while KA-50 jammer works against spin scan, and (im not sure here) rosette seekers.

Doubt we will get SLM. It has ~40km range, and that would be a free kill the moment plane spawns.
This also would be a good start. This is not total LOAL, you still have to guide it, it’s in of it self a mini ARH launcher, which would be like some of the AMRAAM launchers, but just more ‘stealth’. Also obviously they will have MAWS, so not even like before MAWS were implemented. 8km lock is also much lower than 18 of ARH as well.
Ahhh, that’s good to know. SACLOS guided missiles were at an advantage when it came to downing these helicopters.
It still affects them but to a less extent. Also they just tend to start popping flares once they see anything.
I also don’t think it’ll come, however we’ll just have to wait and see.
Well sometimes Ka50 could just kill you by hiding behind hill, move out of cover, fire missile and Vikhrs could kill u before ur missile kills them. 600m/s is not much slower than the likes of Tor. Also they could keep firing, Vikhrs have proxy fuse, so easily intercepts your missile, nvm if u only get 8/6 and they get 12.
I hope they give it the 25mm AHEAD rounds, plaint HE may not be ideal against incoming bombs and missiles. It will probably be at a higher BR that Type 81 (C) anyway, considering they add FB-10A with ~17km interception range.

All this talk about the Type 625E has made me want to play Chinese ground again, since it’s one of my favourite SPAAs and Chinese vehicles.
Or gaijin might go the funny route. Not model IIR at all, do not add LOAL, and give SLS no TWS, so you have to aim manually the lock circle in 3rd person (no sight)

This one (Type 625E) uses a 30mm Gatling Gun (it can also use a 25mm Gatling Gun as an option), it should have AHEAD equivalent as well.
The base Type 625 is a 25mm Gatling Gun but carries more ammo.
AHEAD ammunition for 35mm, 30mm, and 25mm:
Chaparral, but you know where the plane is (you cant slave, as there is no sight on it)
The biggest problem with these systems is that, assuming they don’t get anything like LOAL or TWS, within range they’ll be amazing, however outside that very short range, they are useless to stop the things they’re being added to combat.
Lets be real here. SLS will not counter the most cancerous planes it faces. 12km max is very much the range KH 38 launcher will turn back to rearm. When it comes to other planes, they have to get closer, but still will be able to survive the SLS if they are focused on it. If they get closer to ~6 they are most likely dead.
Assuming SLS gets the lock.

Yup, it will have APDS. Whether they slap a 25mm or 30mm Gatling Gun on it, it will have APDS and AHEAD.
whats the radar on the type 625e?
I think 12.0, cause terminal phase it is essentially IR. 25mm AHEAD will be nice though. An edge over Pantsir lol.
