That is fair. The new SPAA are just part of what gives me a very bad feeling that this will be another boring update for ground.
I feel like if the swedish spaa that was teased is the benchmark for performance, that the new SPAA will massively dissapoint and that all other new ground vehicles will also just be boring filler.
The Type 81 is 11.7 so anything with IRIS-T will be at least that BR.

Eh Type 81 is also mostly 8 km max range. So I think range should be equal or slightly better on IRIS-T equipped SPAA.
They siad multiple nations will get new SAM at once. I wonder what nations that will be.
We know Sweden and China, possibly Germany. Nations needing SAM the most are: Israel, Japan(tho it might fit the F&F theme, and be excluded from this), UK, USA. I wonder what they will do.
I think it’s a little hard for a AIM-9 size missile to get 8+km moving target
I hope they would at least give these nations a new SAM system this update, what worries me is if they will be on a similar level. The Chinese one already seems to be much more capable than the Swedish new SPAA.
Not sure if I would laugh or cry if Israel wasn’t one of the first nations to get a new AA.
I mean neither can the Type 81 in game really. It really doesn’t like hitting moving targets beyond 7-8km.
I’m really hopeful that they’ll add the SLAMRAAM for the USA
It can also use the AIM-120B, but the AMRAAMs in the image above are AIM-120C-8s iirc. Also, of course, it has 2x AIM-9Xs for close range targets.
Also there are better IRIS-T SL variants with longer range missiles that we can get besides the SLS
Oh yeah there’s also a Boxer with IRIS-Ts, although it’s just a concept at the moment afaik

10A is the E missile
So if FB-10 was found, it would point to 625

I just recall there being lots of hype / talk about 625E before the previous major because it had a missile asset in the files - but I’m not sure if that missile was exclusive the E or not

25mm PLA version also compatible FB-10A, which has longer barrel than 30mm version(usually called 625E)

Main problem is that the Swedish only seem to use the SLS version, which is why I fear Gaijin adding new SPAA with big gaps in capabilities between nations.
Like the RBS 98 seems like a sidegrade at best to the ItO.
EDIT: then again I could see Gaijin pulling a “if it can fire SLS it can theoretically fire SLM, so we give the SLM version to Sweden” or something if that is even possible. They do like to handhold top tier Sweden ground afterall.
the difference is too big, it’s possible to nerf FB-10A to FB-10 “for balance”, but SLS to SLM is unlikely
