Apparently something large. So that rules out the KGV class and essentially any WW1 design. I think NoCal can also be excused. Perhaps as America’s BB’s still aren’t great the Colorado 1921 design with 12 16" guns and US standard type armour. That would be relatively balanced.
Something large doesn’t narrow it down really other than smaller BB’s like KGV and NoCal, but its not like Gaijins naval additions follow a pattern usually, so we can’t say that as France and Italy don’t have really good top tiers it is likely to be Richelieu or Littorio even though they are large ships.
Neither would I, hence I am praying that’s not the case. Amagi is bad enough with better than Hood armour, better than Hood guns, better than Hood reload and more guns than Hood. (worse layout to be fair but that’s not the point).
So looks like the list of confirmed vehicles for the next update are:
Stabilized T-34-85
IRIS-T SLS
Type 625E
Cheyenne/Comanche
F-2
Yomato/Bismark/Iowa
Leo2A4 NL
These really aren’t confirmed. It’s just a big ship, i can list like 10 ships that would satisfy this with enough mind games. I also don’t expect them this soon ideally.
Gaihins exact words are “superior, iconic, big, vast and yottabyte ships.”. I think Yamato, Pissmark, and Iowa fit the bill lf superior, iconic, and big ships
Gajin might add AIM-2000 (analog) on EF-2000 & F-2000A (T2 Blk 10) before version digital
But IRIS-T SLM it might digital version
But AIM-9X (Block 1) & R-74M none datalink and LOAL capable
So inferior to other the early 5th gen IR Air-to-Air Missile such as MICA IR, AIM-132 Block 1 and AAM-5
4th gen fighter aircraft mid 2000’s ~ mid 2010’s armed the early 5th gen IR Air-to-Air Missile
After decompression BR to 14.7 (Air AB, RB & SB) for 4th gen & 4.5 gen fighter aircraft top tier sometime this year
But I might want light combat aircraft (LCA), light attack aircraft and 3rd gen fighter aircraft get 5th gen IR Air-to-Air Missile before 4th gen & 4.5 gen fighter aircraft
They’re moving from a unified single techtree to separate nation-based ones.
To fill out these new techtrees, they’re backfilling gaps by adding ships from same classes as ones which had previously been premium-only or event-only.
Notice this does not necessarily mean that the new ships will be in the same configuration as the previous locked-availability ones.
Recall that Mobile has a number of ships which are not currently available in WT.
The " new " ships are:
Skyrtnyy, Pr.56 destroyer
L-4, Leninets class submarine ( not available in WT )
USS Salem, Des Moines class heavy cruiser ( no researchable counterpart in WT )
USS St. Louis, Brooklyn class light cruiser
USS California, Tennessee class battleship
Konigsberg, Konigsberg class light cruiser
SMS Rheinland, Nassau class battleship
SMS Baden, Bayern class battleship ( already in WT w/ her sisterships )
SMS Hindenburg, modified Derfflinger class battlecruiser
HMS Hercules, Colossus class battleship
HMS Thunderer, Orion class battleship ( leaked by Oliviia 10 Dec 2024 )
HMS Ajax, King George V (1911) class battleship ( not available in WT ) ( sistership is also not available in WT ( there are no KGV(1911) class battleships in WT at this time ))
HMS Iron Duke ( already in WT )
IJN Mikuma ( already in WT )
IJN Nagato ( leaked by Oliviia 1 Mar 2024 )
Pr.69I Sevastopol, modified Pr.69 Kronshtadt class battlecruiser
They haven’t formally introduced it yet, but one of the images attached to their explanation of the changes to the monthly Battlepass to accommodate the techtree revamp contains the Pr.956 Sovremennyy class missile destroyer, which will appearently be one of the prize vehicles next season:
gaijin dont think theres enough popularity for it yet.
likely gaijin not understanding/knowing the in depth wider level of vehicles an Indian tree could actually have.
Both combined with what happened with Israel being viewed with tepid usage likely lead to gaijin being more careful in adding fully new indie trees without a likely strong basis of support. Especially when you consider how hostile chunks have been to India being added in general as is.
Imo i doubt we’re getting 5th gen IRs this patch specifically, cause they said said they wanted it to be more naval focused and ngl new IRs would be bigger then about any ships they could add. I could see us getting them the patch after this one though.
The IAe33 was a continuation of the Ta 183, and im more inclined to that being the event vehicle because of so, pretty sure those wonky wunderwaffe has a lot of buyers
Since we havent seen a model for the F-2 yet in dev.
If it does come upcoming patch, it would be a pleasant surprise.
It would also mean that Japan wont be getting a new SPAA.
Since new boats are also being added next patch and Japan usually gets 1 or perhaps 2 vehicles per update.
Japan always gets a boat with an update, so that leaves 2 options left - a plane or a new SPAA - extremely rare case, they get 3 vehicles; a ship, a SPAA and plane. But i wouldnt put my money on the last one…
What Gaijin considers to be iconic and what is coming to the minds of everyone speculating have proven in the past to be two different things.
That being said, I too am now expecting them to just jump straight to the end for every nation all at once. That way they can just get it over with and go back to pretending naval doesn’t exist.
