10km is stretching it lol, if they fly in a straight line and aren’t paying attention yes, if they are actively causing the missile to bleed energy no, it will have about 5-6km of range because it will bleed speed. Again until its added im of the opinion its a nice addition but added too late for the current range of CAS even more so given i again can abuse any AGM65 or KH38MT to nuke anyone dumb enough to play the Eldenhet. Just like the Type 81C players, they can’t fight back.
Its just poor balancing imo and it sucks to see gaijin doesn’t seem to care, but i will say they are very unique picks and id love to see more even if they are essentially useless if a single CAS pilot uses at least 1 braincell.
Shorter than air, it has to catch a target without any initial speed, given other similar missiles losing about 1-2km range on agile targets the IRIS-T will be no different.
No, like, that is exactly what I am saying. The missile is unmodified, same as the air launched one, and is lacking the momentum of being fired from an aircraft. So, what is the reach on this?
I do think at 6-7 km its gonna just be a free kill which does pretty much kill the idea of brimstones so thats fun when its meant to the the top end CAS of 3 nations and was already worse then just Mavs and the KH38s
Still I think since China also has no 14.0 yet, and is just about to pick up steam into aircraft development rivalling the US and USSR they might as well be featured.
And on top of that the F-2 and J10B can make a great rivalry dynamic, being two rival nation’s single engined ESA 4.5th gen fighters with some great contrast between low and high speed performance and both can introduce their nations domestic ASMs
ehhhh I think china has had enough of a spot light I would like japan to be the spot light for once I think the last time was Imperial Navy so ya know lmao
ZTQ15 makes sense since it was leaked, but I feel like M1A2T would be more needed… But maybe if they don’t add it now they can at least fix chinese autoloader reload times to more accurate 6.5s
Possible to see indigenious indian MARUT in UK tech tree?
there were 3 main variants :-
Mk1 - with 2 non afterburning bristol engine
Mk1R - with 2 afterburning bristol engine
Mk1BX - with first 1 bradner and 1 bristol, later 2 bradner (e300 engines)
Out of this, mk1 went mach 0.93 at sea level, and mk1bx went mach 1.1 at some unknown altitude. Seeing the speed of this aircraft is quite unknown, idk how gaijin will get values?
