If I had to guess it could be becuase of 2 contracts.
Like the F-16 and F15. Maybe we will see lockheed come out with a different aircraft with different capabilities

The website for Aces of Thunder has been updated:
We’ve already been told that WW1 aircraft and tanks won’t come to WT, so the four Great War aircraft that have been devblogged there so far( plus any other that appear later ) likely won’t be coming here.
However, the WW2 aircraft that Aces shares w/ WT might see some changes here - they might have their visual models reworked to a higher fidelity since they’ll be viewed from closer than before, similar to how tanks shared w/ Enlisted have gotten visual overhauls as of late.

I know WW1 content has been denied for now but was said it might come in the future but has it since been hard denied to never come?
Also it looks like we will see some early jet’s in Aces of Thunder, There’s an Me-262 in 2 of the images there.
Don’t know yet if they will just be AI targets or playable aircraft.
I mean this isn’t ground breaking since it’s literally War Thunder but only in Sim and VR which what makes me even more mad really, we know we want WW1, they know we want WW1 so why can’t we have WW1 ?

Honestly I have zero interest in WW1 planes and tanks. I know a lot of forum users want them, but I’m not one of them.
I’m not going to be mad if they do get added though, it’s just not for me.
Yeah since it’s all under Gaijin and is using the same game engine it should be relatively easy to put new models for Aces over into War Thunder. It would make sense to do it as they already seem to be taking assets from War Thunder and tweaking them for VR so it can be done.
Also would be a great way of getting bomber cockpits modelled. Have the Aces Team model the bomber interior for VR and just paste it onto the War Thunder model.
