Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Are you saying “Soon tm” for the first devblog or the actual patch release date?

DFCS should be modeled. No F-14D didn’t have one. And the F-14 is already a great platform. Making that platform even better with era-appropriate weaponry and avionics just makes it better.

Just… Be glad you have the EFT this early… Even when 5th Gens are added the Eurofighter will still be one of the Top Dogs.

The current state of the Captor-M would like to have a word with you.

Also PIRATE being as good an IR tracker as the Wii remote.

And the matchstick sized BOL flares (although is a problem with all BOL)

And the numerous amount of cockpit issues.

And many more issues but I can’t be bothered to list them all.

The Typhoon itself is pretty good but it’s the poor implementation of many of its features that put it down.

Ngl that gave me the image of a missile being guided by a person playing a Nintendo wii so thank you for that

(Wii sports bowling only its a different kind of strike)

Emphasis on current.
It should be fixed.

Yes, it should. However according to the reasoning given by Gaijin theirselves, it never will be unless Eurofighter GmbH becomes a hell of a lot more open about the specifics of it.

Seems about right for a nation’s most capable, classified fighter jet…

And yet the Su-30SM’s and Rafale’s radars are great. There is no excuse for the Captor-M being in such a bad state.

India would make more sense as they operate the largest fleet of them and Russia do not. Russia in turn could receieve the MiG 29KR

The Russian MiG-29K, also known as the MiG-29KR, yes, as I said.

Those are two different planes so “also known as” is not quite accurate. The MiG-29K is the project from the 80s and is coded as izdeliye 9-31, whereas the MiG-29KR came recently as a result of Indian interest and is coded as izdeliye 41R. It comes with a modern avionics suite and the latest Russian missiles.

K and KR are different versions
K is Indian/export using other nations avionics similar to the Su-30MKII
KR is Russian using Russian avionics.

Not to be pedantic but there are very different :)

Remember that “MiG-29K” is the original designation for the Russian variant of the 80s and it came first… the current MiG-29K designation for the Indian Navy is reused for a different aircraft :)

Of course it was one of the original navailsed aircraft for the Kuznetsov and was dropped in favour of the Su-33

The MiG 29K in service with the Indian Navy is a Navalised MiG 29M and would actually be pretty good in game considering it is a Gen 4.5 airframe.

Yeah but India is not planned to move out of Britain and I don’t think British mains would be happy about a Fulcrum in their tech tree, so…
Tho the Mig-29K could be put in the Russian tree as Indian, wouldn’t be the first time they put a vehicle out of its subtree in another nation

What do you mean they have been asking for additions like it since India got announced for the UK.

Problem is Britain are nearly out of top/high tier additions.

F-35B
Typhoon Tranche 3/4
Harrier GR.9
Tornado super late…With 120Cs and ASRAAM
Hawk 200?

Thats really it, the sub trees of India and SA are going to have to be used to flesh this out. MiG 29KR, Su-30MKII, Tejas and Cheetah

Every experienced British mains I asked are strongly rejecting Sovietic-made Indian vehicles, they say it doesn’t belong (which I agree with) and UK lacks many historical vehicles (which I also agree with)
