In very old days France and Italy was subtree of Great Britain and Germany.
And I think maybe Israel was originally planned as subtree of USA as two Merkavas were on US tech tree?
Not any of the sub trees announced since South Africa. All of those were added as sub trees precisely because they can’t be full standalone nations.
I was referring to the original nations that were a “sub tree nation” inside of the original nations in game.
Italy was in Germany
France was in the British tree
Isreal was in the American tree
This is why I’m confused as the terms subs never was used until South Africa
Just a shame Britain doesnt have enough to be a standalone TT and needs 2+ Sub-TTs
Because the term didn’t exist back then. I wouldn’t get stuck up on the terminology.
But in essence, they were all sub trees. What you want to call them personally is down to you.
Idk India has quite a good pool of vehicles, I mean if Israel can have a standalone TT, why India can’t?
I mean technically Israel was split between US, Britain and France even the F-84F went to France iirc.
The US only got Israel through events, which would be like saying Australia is in Britain due to it having domesticated tanks and aircraft.
I’m not having an argument here just having a curiosity moment lol
Indeed. But the established “rules” of what sub trees would be was not really in place. It was just a home for these nations in general. But the possibility always remained that their vehicles could go to whoever.
Post SA, sub trees are defined as the vehicles present into a single nation.
India has 3 lines worth of planes for an air tree, and a lot of potential for future aircrafts. That’s basically like Israel. Leaving India in Britain means we hardly get anything actually Indian, and the way you guys are doing it the only thing happening is Britain gets invaded with Russian stuff instead of actual Indian vehicles
Good god, don’t say that to a US main otherwise Chernobyl would of looked like a picnic lmao
Isreal has it’s own set of challenges and given the feedback on that and developments since, we don’t plan to add every possible seperate nation unless they have a decent chance of standing by themselves without themselves needing multiple sub trees of their own.
We have already been working over the the last year + on sub trees to help fill the existing major nations, both to gap full and provide variety. But most importantly sub trees also provide these nations a chance to exist in game where they would otherwise struggle as a standalone nation and be impractical.
Though could I ask, how many subs could a nations get as depending who you ask people say France got 3 subs while others say they’ve got one.
Those were not Israeli planes. A French air squadrons were temporarily based in Israel to support the Israeli invasion of Egypt. The French aircraft were painted with Israeli Air Force colors to hide French involvement in the war. The French pilots continued to fly the aircraft, but the roundels on the aircraft were repainted with David Stars after landing at Lod airbase.
Alright then, put India in Israel. One stone two birds. The content is more compatible than with Britain, and it makes more sense technologically, diplomatically, politically and, arguably, historically
BeNeLux is one.
Oh god
Which is why I have such issue with both South Africa and especially India. Not a single gap has even been looked at.
OSA and Strela just came at the same BR as the Stormer AD, Stormer HVM and Now Tracked Rapier. So no Gap
T-90 came at the same BR as the Challenger 1s, which are quite frankly pretty good, especially when fixed, so again no gap. When things like the Jordanian Callenger Falcon exist, its a real shame a C&P T-90 was even considered
Mig-21 came at a BR where you have the Tornado F3 and Harrier Gr7, which I consider both superior as it is. but there are loads of other options for this BR range as well from both Britain and South Africa
Jaguar IS is just a straight downgrade over the Tornado Gr1 in most practical gameplay because of its BR.
There has yet to be a single Indian vehicle that actually does much for our TT except make the grind worse.
Even with South Africa, you have the Bosvark and ZA-35 at BRs where you already have SPAAGs but nothing between and its a major gap in the tree
The majority of Indian vehicles in game are British in origin and there are many others of that kin. Those that are not provide gameplay alternatives to what Britian itself offers.
There are no plans to introduce India to Israel.
That means no Tejas, no Su-30MKI, no Rafale EH, no mirage 2000H, no HF-24, etc. And I find that really sad
It would be nice to tackle the German aviation research tree, wouldn’t it?
