A more linear progression, more variants to unlock for different BRs, more money for Gaijin to earn.
Tranche 1 should be the one with only AIM-9Ms and AIM-120Bs.
Tranche 2 Block 10/15 should introduce improved DASS, better A2G and maybe better AMRAAMs.
Tranche 2 Block 20 could come as a stepping stone towards Tranche 3 with IRIS-Ts and Meteors.
Tranche 3 should introduce the CAPTOR-E AESA radar and further A2G upgrades (and IRIS-Ts+Meteors if they skip the Tranche 2 Block 20 variant)
Neither is UK, they have other options like brimstone
To be fair, the US gets two F-18Cs an early and a late, the Finnish F-18 is somewhat between the two in capability, equivalent to the Early (in terms of additional fit), trading the ground ordnance for AMRAAMs & 9Ms, and missing out on the HMD and ground ordnance of the F-18C Late and later Finnish F-18Cs that could have been added at the same time/instead, yet remain at the same BR.

You actively ignored the problem with the Gripen to try and proove your point when the problem with the Gripen A was gaijin added a blatantly better version at the same BR and told sweden go screw yourselves which is what they did once again with the C and now the F-18 but lets ignore that because we dont know what were talking about because it makes my argument barely work.
This is like asking for Leopard 2A0, Leopard 2A1, Leopard 2A2 and Leopard 2A3 before Leopard 2A4 because “it doesn’t make sense to skip straight to Leopard 2A4”… and that would have made more sense if anything, since at least we can talk ab out lineups in Ground Battles.

So 4 near-identical variants of the exact same plane for marginal changes that, instead, can very well be implemented in a more straight way through the addition of 2-3 different variants instead of 4…? Is this not redundant?

They can just use folders so you only have to research 2. Anyone who actually wants the typhoons can do the foldered ones
No the Brits i have talked to claim it would be unfair for sweden to have gotten the Gripen A the update before when the F16C was added and then the C could’ve been added to sweden and Britain in December but it doesnt matter cause sweden is greedy for some reason even if it wouldn’t have changed when Britain got the best Gripen.

Even marginal upgrades should lead to BR increases to combat BR compression. That’s how it used to work and should be done for top tier as well.
Tbf gaijin added a 1994 F-18 to finland and the US got a 2007 F/A-18C Late. The Finnish F-18 is closer to the early than it is with the Late.

All it would lead is people angry at having to grind for 410,000 extra RP to get to the endgame because someone thought it was brilliant to add a speed bump for 2 marginal differences.
Wanting 4x Eurofighter variants on a tree is as redundant as 4x F-16A variants would be.
The differences between the variants of most planes you list are more significant than those between a Late Tranche 1 and Early Tranche 2 EFs.
I’m starting to think some of you just really like grinding and want to have more stuff to grind even if it doesn’t actually have a significant or relevant impact on the game or gameplay…
