Maybe they’ll get a premium MiG-29 9.12/9.13 at some point, but if they get a premium Su-27 they still won’t have a premium in that range. The USSR tree only has the MiG-29 9.13 and Yak-141 in that BR range to begin with.
MiG21-93 (like the bison) would be another option. but thats just lazy since the bison exists

worse RWR, worse flight model, No radar or radar missiles. concidering he SU27 and SU33 are at 13.0 i could see it being 12.7. This is also saying the 9-13 gets its R73 and removed R27ER.
Pretty sure they never built a MiG-23 with R-73s. I only know of mock-ups and proposals that would have gotten R-73s, if they had ever materialized.
its really a hard question, su-25 is so slow but have many bombs to bomb bases, mig-23 better to kill jets, you can also use its gun to kill light boxes and bot targets, maybe mig-23 better if you like air battles, but su-25 better if you like ground battles
with su-25 it may be hard to bomb bases specially if you become top tiered lol
A MiG-29 with 6 R-73s would have to be 13.0. The MiG-29 9.13, which only carries up to 6 R-60Ms or 4 R-60Ms and 2 R-27ERs, is 12.7 already.
They most likely won’t be giving the 9.13 R-73s and it seems extremely unlikely that they would get rid of the R-27ERs on it.
Also, the MiG-29UB would be able to mount R-27Ts (perhaps even R-27ETs) as well, wouldn’t it?
13.0 with decompression to 14.7 yeah, but its conciderably worse then the current 13.0s. Nobody would take a worse mig29G (both flight model and radar wise) at the same br as well as the SU27. Even having the trade off over the 9-13 of radar missiles for better IR missiles. Either way its RWR and lack of substantial countermeasures lets it down the most when compared to the JAS39A and F16AM. No maw, no radar. No option for a radar missile like the 39A. Big handy caps imo

Just add a Czechoslovakian (or Polish) MiG-29 9.12 (copy paste of the German one) as a premium if the UB is that “difficult” to BR properly.
Or even just a base MiG-29 9.12, as the MiG-29 in the USSR tech tree is a 9.13.
Grinded the whole tree except 1 line in 2 weeks with the ML, definitely a worthy premium, but in all honesty it was before the F-16A got moved down and the F-18A was added.
Also gotta point out that a better rank 8 premium might actually be behind the corner D:

No, why would they get rid of them?
They never had them IRL.
Their loadout should be R-73s and R-27Rs but when they were originally added to the game in Dec 2022, R-73s were deemed way too powerful, so they were given R-60Ms + R-27ERs (which I personally think was actually worse)
Now R-73s are established, they could make the swap

GDR, HuAF and Bundeswehr never ordered R-27ER/R-27ER1
But russian air force not retrofitted R-27ER & R-27ET until MiG-29S (9-12S & 9-13S)
But now unlike december 2023 & march 2024
