Honestly I think they could stay together with this. We are getting limited to WW1 according to the post so it I’d guess that would be a good starting point for infantry to then be expanded upon later on. Then alongside it keeping the WW1 vehicles since the models will already be there. Would be an absolute waste not too.

Additionally it could give extra benefits to IFV’s and engineering vehicles

Stona said that starting tomorrow the test for the both of them will open as one event. Maybe this april fools is a test and they will get added next major update. I’m singing the infantry is confirmed because they are saying it’s the next major step for war thunder and they wouldn’t step forward to step back. iykwim

With the fact enlisted exists I am confident it won’t stay.
Why would they call it the next step then? Unless that is the name of the april fools event but why would they say it will change the game? Also is every april fools update a test or is it only this one?

It’s the name of the game when it comes to april fools.
Not all are tests I am positive the tail spin and ponies were not tests but I might be mistaken.

thats what am thinking too, no one says that this is not the april fools event most likely it is but it could also be true that its coming to the game as a permanent addition there is no rule out there saying it could not just for being an april fools event.

I’m hoping for this. These infantry will change the game in so many unbelievable good ways
An inf TT from WW1 to modern would invalidate their other game and possibly soon to be games.
I doubt they would cut off that possible revenue.

I think it will be very different from enlisted but we will have to wait and see. I don’t think validate any game not even enlisted because in worth under you would still have so many more vehicles that are being played and are capturing points
Also enlisted has you unlocking weapons with squads but I feel like this infantry thing could be more like you unlock the unit and you get an ability/capability with the unit

war thunder have a bigger player base than enlisted and also its not the same adding modern infantry to war thunder when you have a lot of modern things yet than adding modern infantry to enlisted when you have nothing modern in enlisted as a base to start its the cuadruple of work and money for they to work on that for enlisted, enlisted just gonna be always a dedicated WW2 game and nothing more. war thunder have a lot of potential to compete with games like ARMA III, ARMA REFORGER, SQUAD and Insurgency sandstorm because war thunder have practically all the only major thing that is lacking is the infantry and you will have a 100 times better game and more complete one compared to the ones i mentioned. for the rest of companies that are involved in the games i mentioned this is a kick in the balls just saying.
This was 5 years ago, no new game appeared.
They usually say stuff like that as part of the april fools joke.
Again, you really think Gaijin is going to give up their ability to market a significant age audience that also happens to be very susceptible to said marketing?

I honestly feel you aren’t being serious. But part of me still can’t tell.
tbh I like the idea of infantry, mainly because it will give more roles and life to IFVs and tanks in general, allowing you to deploy troops, cover them, or demolish fortified positions like buildings, even use the artillery we already have in game, there’s plenty of possibilities (in a separate game mode ofc)
