The main Problem is what about Enlisted why add inf to War Thunder when they have an inf based Shooter
I would say that there is a slight difference between adding newer vehicles that ultimately do basically the same thing and adding infantry to a game that was built to be a vehicular combat arcade/sim hybrid.
As I’ve said before, I could see them adding AI infantry and maybe RTS-like controllable squads and emplacements, but I just cannot see them adding player controlled soldiers with Battlefield/Enlisted-like gameplay. There just is no way they could shoehorn that into WTs gameplay.
Now imagine that for the April 1st we get a decompression and bug fixes :)

I know it’s all a joke: the date, the video, and the description are all inconsistent. We know for sure it’s April Fool’s Day, the question is… which of the two is fake? The video or the description of it?
Either way, it is mentioned “Infantry and Expanded Tech Trees”. I wonder if they’ll try the game interface with expanded TTs, tabs, and other things we’ve been asking for.

Oh, that would be a perfect time to test that. It might not be a gameplay mechanic(tho I bet there’ll be one there two), but some of the best changes that could happen to the game(ex. Sub-tree rework) are behind that.

My Honest Opinion is that Gaijin actually want to add every type of Combat possible to War Thunder…so yes this includes player controlled Infantry however impossible this may seem…will it make them more Money?..that’s the ONLY question you need ask!
I loved the Mobile Infantry event…and if we are being Honest it’s always the more put together events that end up being more then a Joke event! Who’s to say Enlisted is not their test bed for Infantry in War Thunder??? lol that does sound Skitso but I’m going with it!

I was wondering if they were going to revamp thermals but the teaser looks to be the same.
For War Thunder, FPV drones and maybe revamped map interfaces or something.
Ideally, Gaijin could be considering making a new videogame; a War Thunder-like equivalent competitor to Battlefield/Squad.
I think it would genuinely be an incredible game. I am not talking about a game trying to re-invent the wheel with drastic innovation attempts and changes like Enlisted; just a plain, simple BF Formula game except with WT damage models, physics, mechanical standards and controls for vehicles.

guys ffs i think most of the people here lacks reading comprehension the april fools event is WW1 infantry as an introduccion for us to test how it would be the future modern infantry combined arms mode in the game and also we would have a beta close test for the modern infantry combined arms mode before it officially comes to the game. is simple as that is not that difficult man.
i can´t belive that people is actually that dummy to think that this is a joke. GUYS COME ON WAKE UP what it makes you think that they are doing all this shxt for nothing a whole trailer that it looks better than the hornet stinks trailer the announcement of this published in instagram, twitter and even in steam they didnt do this before for just an april fools event its to much there is a lot of hype in between and we waited soo long for this.
and for the ones who didnt realized this: they posted this a day before aprils fools making people thinks its not real when the joke its that its real and they are watching and laughing at you guys because you got fooled thinking that this is not real when it is.
