Leaks for the next update should come around early-mid May. The leeks for Seek & Destroy last summer came out on the 5th of May so I’d guess around the same-ish time this year.
We should also hear about the April Fools event tomorrow and then 2 weeks after we should hear about the next battlepass and probably the next vehicle event around then which should be an aircraft of lower BR.
really wonder what we can get for futur updates , considering it was confirmed no new tech-tree will come this year , and i dont really se a lot of really hype vehicle on the orizon individually
I would think we would get more sub trees this year I mean they did confirm that iirc
New Anti Air systems in form of multi-component vehicles is a big one.
One update will be centered around the Thai ground subtree for Japan, maybe there will be a Pakistani subtree for China as well.
The Indian subtree had no proper introduction update yet, so maybe one will come in the future, hopefully bringing some actually Indian vehicles with it (HAL Tejas, Rudra, Prachand, Marut, DRDO Arjun, etc).
As for hype vehicles, I could definitely see Gaijin adding an early F-22A this year and while the hype for LCAs (Light Combat Aircraft), Advanced Trainers and Strategic Bombers may not be as big as for something like the F-14, those would also include many, much anticipated aircraft.
For ground people seem to be rather hyped for the Oplot and K-2 and heck, maybe Gaijin is gonna go for the Armata, AbramsX and other such unproven designs soon. After all, they don’t model modern MBTs realistically anyways, so guesstimated specs on unproven tanks wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.
And well, there also are some helicopters left to be added that would definitely be hyped up in form of the Wildcat, Comanche, Cheyenne and H135M/EC635 (or whatever it is called now)
I do doubt it to be honest. I think there’s still quite a few 4 - 4.5 gen aircraft left to be added before we start to see 5th gen, even if that 5th gen is an early/gimped version. We have stuff like F/A-18E, F-15EX, F-16E/V or 70/72, F-14D which I think will probably be added before we see 5th gen. But who knows really?
Stuff like Hawks, Gnat, A-4M, A-37, Yak-130 etc hopefully we will see some of these or things like these this year. They are long overdue right now and would be very welcome additions.
Yeah loads of helicopters that possibly can be added this year. The ACH-47A that was passed to the devs a while ago, the H145M, and in the last leak list including the AH-56 Cheyenne as an event vehicle so there’s a pretty strong chance for it coming this year.
I mean, I’m not saying that they should be adding the F-22A this early, just that I wouldn’t put it past Gaijin to release it in a similar way to how they released the F-14A lol
They definitely should be focussing on older stuff, but that’s not how Gaijin sees it apparently
Honestly when we do get to the stage where they add the F-22 I can see Gaijin doing something similar to the F/A-18C. Adding an Early version as a premium.

Gaijin could add F/A-18E Block I (early) in the early enduring freedom era (2001 ~ 2002) before F/A-18E Block II (late) (2018 ~ 2020)

F-16CM (Block 52) (post PoBit) after F-16C Block 50 to rank IX or early rank X for USA tech tree
ROCAF F-16AM (post upgrade F-16 Block 70/72 standard) after F-16A MLU (late) & F-16C+ (Block 52) from PAF, battle rating 15.3 or 15.7 minimum
On F-14 group or between F-14 group & F/A-18C late
Gajin might ready F-22A early until 2 years or winter this year

Except there isn’t that many. I totally get you, at first imagining that the F-22 Raptor could drop this year might seem crazy, but give it some thoughts, then you’ll see it really isn’t.
The F/A-18E and F-15EX are the only “new” top tier 4th Gens left to be added. And they aren’t new in the fact that these are already implemented airframes.
Add on top of that the fact that the December update is the biggest of the year, the one with the exciting new mechanics and airframes, and you get the introduction of the first(s) 5th Gen(s) in the game this december, because there simply isn’t anything left.
Plus, people are becoming a increasingly tired of Air being the only focus for the past years, so it would make sense for Gaijin to do this even if there were still a few 4th Gens.
The real question here shouldn’t be “Will they add the F-22 this december?”, but “Will they add the F-22 (late) alongside other 5th gens or will they add the F-22 (early) with top notch 4.5+ Gen aircrafts”
I mean, there are more, but yes, if you ignore the rest of the world those indeed are the only “new” top tier 4th gens.

I’d guess Line-2 for Gnat, after the Javelin and before the Lightning
I would expect it to be in the 1st or 4th column. The 2nd column seems more like a heavy fighter column (at least when it comes to jets)
Being a trainer, it doesnt really fit overly neatly into the normal “rules” of each line
1 - multirole
2 - fighters / interceptors
3 - naval
4 - Strike
5 - bomber
Its closest equivalants are probably the Venom/Hunters in line-1 or the Meteors in Line-2. I was thinking line-2 more because there isnt a 9.0 currently there and would fit quite neatly between the Javelin and Lightning.
Hawks would probably be Line-4 but I dont think the Gnat would be and instead would be classed as a fighter.
It’s complete a$$ that the F-2 hasn’t come, and I really don’t know why it wasn’t in the last update. Wishing the best for y’all. Just test driving the Su-30SM has had me feeling things (only plane I’ve wanted since I got back into WT).
Can’t wait for tax season to be over so I can get back to my normal rig with all my regular settings so I can finish the grind.

The Gnat wasn’t just a trainer though. It was designed as a fighter, but used as a trainer by the RAF.
Judging by the fact that the Supermarine Swift is in the 4th column I can absolutely see the Gnat going there as well, as the Gnat feels more in line with the nimble Swifts than with the massive hulks that are the Javelin and Lightning.
