The UK helped make chobam. Chobam doesn’t have to include DU. I am not aware of an involvement UK had in the M1 getting DU armor. That being said you are right about the close partnership between the countries. Odds are good it would have been DU but not for certain.
Oh man I thought we were going to see some kulebyaka for a moment there!
Imagine it not being Christmas already for you Euros and Americans.
Idk but where I live we do “Christmas” at 24th so I’m already past that
Your place has it wrong, then.
For me you have ‘Kerstmisavond’ aka Christmas Eve on the 24th, First Christmas-day on the 25th and the second on the 26th. (although most presents in my country are still given by Saint Nicholas on the 5th or 6th of December, according to the pre-protestant introductions from the medieval times) Christmas eve is the one with all the festivities in close knit families, with some going to the late-night mass.
Then you have ‘Christmas’ on the 25th and 26th, but that’s more of the same really.
There are a lot of dates for these festivities and the 24th is one of the ‘right’ ones to partake in Christmas-like festivities. :)
We offered them 2A6’s for dirt cheap too… And cheap upgrades to 2A7 and later models… But UK Gov being UK Gov… If you wanna read up on it, lmk
Morning gents, and merry Christmas to you all.
Does anyone have a rough idea when the ‘trophy’ camo box will come ?
Yeah, UK gov is UK gov, they’d rather keep stupid L85 and make L85A3 which is still crap, than get actual HK416 like the French. They are kinda obsessed with domestic stuff knowing they are crap.
js get an M4 lol
Wdym? They just bought a bunch of L403A1s
I mean the l85a3 is pretty much all hk anyway. They’re not terrible rifles aside from the dog water ergonomics and the fact it weighs too much.
so theyre terrible? all the competitor has similar ballisitic and mechanical accuracy, but L85 weighs more and is awful to use for no good reason
Which is why they are replacing them.
yeah but it costed them on average a couple thousand pounds each.
I mean, terrible is relative. They actually work at this point. There are better rifles, there are most definitely worse.
Yes, L85A3 is usable to say the best, A2, well from my experience with it, I fired no more than 30 rounds and suffered 5 failures.
Merry Christmas everyone
thats like rusty M3 type reliability lol
grease gun, not the BMW
I honestly have more faith in the greasegun considering its much simpler than the ar18.
