This means newer F-5E wing with larger LERX, AIM-9M (and Python 4 once those are added), underwing Python 3 like the FCU, AGM-65D and AN/ALE-40 CM dispensers (same as the F-5A/C already have).
Later F-5TH with IRIS-T, Derby, new radar and cockpit can still be added to the tree as well.
If they want premiums, two seat F-5TF or F-5THF would do the trick more than well enough, or for some more unique option F-16B Block 15 OCU with DASH HMD and Python 4 (neither is on the regular OCU)
They’ve been letting Israel wait for that for quite a while now. You’d think by now they’d at least give it to some pre-top tier airframe to judge its performance or something, the Kfir seems like a good option to do just that.
I dont think the F-5Ts will ever receive their python 4 tbh, I would even argue that the barak II will not receive them due to them “being objectively better than AIM-9Ms”, with the kfir being the only operator and in the future a premium C.10(non-B60).
I did discuss this with the others about the specific naming for the kfir. This is not just a C.10, it is specifically blk 60, this means that the C.10 is reserved for other uses. But it is not certain, the Su-25BM(ARZ558) is also a very strict designation.
Edit: the Pakistani T-80UD(obj 478BE) is the same. This may equally hint a late version with oplot turret.
It’s the main feature of the variant… Would be really stupid not to give the thing it’s most known for.
I wouldn’t put it past Gaijin, but I also don’t want to encourage it
Edit: Obviously it would get a higher BR and probably even rank with them, it can’t be expected for a fully fixed F-5T to still be at 11.3, more likely 12.X going by what it’d be equipped with.
Well it doesnt really mean much tbf. F-16A and MiG-29 were playing the opposite role they are meant to do, the GR.4 never got its dual-mode brimstones, etc. The F-16AJ didnt even come with the advertised gear-cover sparrow rails.
A bit too much to ask for in that sense, maybe, cause F15C with ANAPG63 V2/3, F18s with ANAPG79, J10B, AESA Gripen, F2 could have been a whole new update, although maybe I thought to fit the theme of canard deltas they might add JAS39s and J10Bs.
Also makes sense cause Chengdu or CAIG is in charge of J7s which could also have a few more interesting derivations, like J7G, which are all sort of light fighters. J8s also could do with a few more variants like the early nose intake variants, which all goes under Shenyang.
am %100 sure that we´ll see it sooner than you think trust me the Kfir is not gonna do it well in 13.0 call me crazy right now but with the time passing by people are gonna give me the reason just wait until the event ends and people start to play it a lot.
well the F-5T can just use 2 Python-4s i can see it being placed in 12.3-12.7 reciving just 2 Python-4 and later they could add the F-5TH with Python-4 and I-Derby in 13.0 and also the F-5A should be carrying 2 AIM-9P-4 they could place it in 11.0.
Does it only have two AIM9P-4s?
I really feel like F5ECU RN is under BR’d, since the 4 3km all aspects are really strong, couple that with the good manoeuvrability, quite strong RN. In contrast JH7A with similar missiles sits at 12.3.
I’d hope it could get its IRIS-Ts, unlike Python 5 and Derby that are compatible but not yet mounted (but will be iirc) IRIS-T is already in active service with the F-5TH.
F-5A from what I could find was only ever equipped with AIM-9P-3, no AIM-9E like it exclusively has in game right now, but also no AIM-9P-4 all aspect missiles.
It would technically be 5-6 new air frames as opposed to 4 from Air Superiority yea. But still within the realm of possibilities with a long enough dev server. Heck it might have been the plan until Firebirds took way too long to get out the door and they had to rush a bit to get this update out.
