Nevermind new shiny toys, we need Quality of Life upgrades
@Rowiek Brits typically complain about top tier rather than their whole tree. As the tree is generally better than other minor nations in this aspect except for some being unhappy with sub tree vehicles coming before their domestic counter parts. But at top tier its arguably one of the worst in both air and ground although Italy would be up their without the Hungary TT
If my maths is right, the week the update most likely is (16th->), will mark the 1,000 day anniversary of Israel ground tree being added.
A thousand days… and not a single top or even close to top AA.
It’s gone so far beyond a joke now.
true
Typhoon will also have Brimstone 2
Any counterpart that will break the Pantsir monopoly is a good thing for the game. Even China sometimes gets matched against Russia.
I agree that other nations need to get their equivalents as well.
And? How would that change targeting performance? It still is laser only
This is my only concern if this update turns out to give China a strong SPAA and no one else.
Vast majority of the time, for me at least, RU/CN are on the same side. It would feel really unfair if team Pantsir itself gets the long awaited contemporary.
Pantsir + Tor is already a fearsome duo.
I mean, hopefully Gaijin won’t only add SPAA for one nation. But it is Gaijin, so you never know.
Yeah. They’ve got a pretty terrible track record when it comes to making certain countries / ‘sides’ even stronger - from a position of already unrivaled strength.
And I won’t mention it explicitly, but Gaijin also has a habit of making the nation that is usually matched with Russia get vehicles that aren’t modeled as accurately as them, notably at higher/top tier.
Laser + IOG, you can set target point, then go behind terrain, launch from cover, then reposition and lase in the terminal stage using the UI timer, you won’t be visible to the SAM system for long and you can use the time before impact to increase the distance between you and the SAM, depending on Tpod quality and if the target moves or not
So still a bad system.
You are describing multiple useless steps which dont necesary help a lot.
The amount of maps where that is possible is very limited.
And needing to reaquire the lock still always sucks no matter what it is a time u are vulnerable and your focus is somehwere else
Remove Tor and it would still be. Tor is too slow, I just find that when I pull out a Tor, all I’m doing is intercepting enemy missiles, never have time to fire back, before the CAS is killed by Pantsir or I am dead.
better than maintaining LOS on a Pantsir for 30s when you don’t need to and complaining about it. and if you have to deal with something else and waste the missile you’ll still have others as you get 3 per pylon.
Or you can take Gunjob’s suggestion and use the GNSS+SAL Paveways on the SAMs and use Brimstone at closer range vs tanks.
Also it is very difficult for TOR target planes at close range, because the missile is launched vertically. The TOR is also extremely visible when it launches as the missiles have a very prominent smoke trail.
And you can hear the TOR across the whole map. I consider that quite nice.
So issue of no real stand off missle stays existing gnss+ sal paveways at the end of the day have the same issues . Lose lock target moves bye bye.
Or that u need to throw the bombs so fsr they need an eternity
Point stays true no real stand of capability for typhoons and that their cas capability will be pretty much crippled
so sad for the Typhoon FGR.4 we currently have in game :((((
We have no typhoons in the game yet.
Seems like u didnt realise we were talking about the future.
Uk tornados csn just use pgms as fnf stand offs
