I think it’s more likely to be Hornets for everyone in the December update and Super Hornets + EFT’s in June.
And if they add the EFT it’s likely we would see a Rafale and maybe a Gripen E being added too. Maybe a EuroCanard + Super Hornet update

I mean NK could be fun to add a Mig29 and those funny tanks with Manpads on their roofs, but there’s soooooooooo much domestic stuff not in game yet, would feel odd to focus dev time on a sub before all of that, no?

Depends on how gaijin adds the F18 to everyone else. Id rather nations with less vehicles and have actual ties to the f18 get it before it becomes another sherman of the skies as imo having an F18 only go to like 3 trees may make those smaller nations more attractive to players.

Not entirely they have forgone adding vehicles to nations at times despite other nations also needing said vehicles.

Fair enough, but that would mean modeling it for many many other aircraft, like basically the whole US top tier and Russian top tier along with any nations that used EW stuff with their jets, which is just about all of them

I completely agree. I think it should go to nations that actually use it and to nations with subtrees that use it but only if the tree is in dire need of it. And in reality I think that only 2 (possibly 3 or 4) fit that criteria, those being the US and Germany (possibly the UK).
The US should get it since it’s their own aircraft.
Germany lacks a good top tier aircraft right now and with the more than likely Swiss subtree it should get a Hornet.
The UK could receive a Hornet either from Canada or Australia however neither of those countries an official subtree within the UK, vehicles from those countries are spread out across tech tree’s to where they fit the best. Also the UK TT has the SAAF Gripen C which is a great top tier aircraft but the other top tier aircraft the UK has received lately have been completely overshadowed in performance by other additions or are just DOA. That being said whether Gaijin adds a Hornet to the UK or not on the basis that it has the SAAF Gripen C then a Finish Hornet for Sweden would have to follow the same decision.
But after the dust has settled it could start to be added to other nations with ties to it but don’t necessarily need it.
Overall Gaijin needs to be careful with the introduction of the F/A-18 to make sure it doesn’t just become another F-16/P-51 for all.
I predict next aircraft pre-order pack rank 8 for USA might be F/A-18A (Late) or F/A-18C Early just AIM-7 from desert storm era
But I might not think gajin skipped F/A-18A+ because fitted AN/APG-73 RUG I radar and equipments like F/A-18C from early iraq freedom 2003 but not changed engine and no AIM-9X & JHMCS
If the EFT is added then i disagree with britain needing the F18. If the EFT isnt added i agree. Sweden not receiving the only addition that makes Finland air actually worth it is kind of a silly take imo. You only need some brain power to see how worthless Finland as a air nation is, considering they didnt fill any gaps and there addition was there to prevent players from getting the JA37D on release. Anything that couldve been added from Finland to fill gaps is either an Event/prem or not on the TT. The Swiss F18 definitely needed to be added and will be a welcpme addition.
That’s why I said whatever the decision is with a Can/Aus Hornet for the UK it should be the same as the Finish Hornet for Sweden. If on comes the other should too, if one doesn’t the other shouldn’t. Both the UK and Swedish TT have Gripen C’s as their top/only top tier fighter and could both benefit from a Hornet. But neither nation should receive it if the other nation doesn’t. And while both nations would greatly benefit they don’t necessarily need it. The Gripen C’s are great aircraft that can compete with all the other 13.7 aircraft but both nations have other options beside the Hornet like the EFT for the UK and the Gripen E.
We are most likely to not see the EFT and Gripen E in December and if we are seeing Hornets then there’s a decent chance we will see a Finish and Can/Aus Hornets being added which would be great.

You also forgot that sweden has 4 fighters at rank 8, of which are the same aircraft with the only difference being the missile loads. Again if a TT doesnt have variety than less people are inclined to research it. If we focus on just top tier Britain is more likely to get the EFT before we see a Gripen C that is properly distinguished instead of being some abomination that it is now considering all gripens are amalgamations of MS17 and MS20 with the SAAF Gripen not existing as they dont use MS20. (Thats besides the point though) imo variety is something to consider and as it currently stands both AU and CAN arent official subtrees of britain. I do think they will get a F18 but i dont believe they need it imo, again if the EFT isnt added yes they get it if otherwise no they dont need it. Sweden air can already be found on 2 other TT’s when it comes to the gripen so as an air player sweden isn’t really all that unique especially when like 3 vehicles can’t be bought, the J21, B18, and Gripen are like the only unique airframes that dont have a prem option lol.
In summary Britain realistically has more jets coming much sooner than sweden does so them not getting an F18 wouldn’t really hold them back in the slightest. (This is again if the EFT or missile barge options are coming.)
