Neither of those has thermals, the point of the Su-25SM3 is giving the URSS it’s first thermal fixed wing aircraft.
and it will be mostlikely still worse than all other top tier cas/multirole aircrafts
It wasnt necessary to add thermal pods to a su25. They could have just given it to the SMT.
Could’ve just given the SU-25T the FLIR Khod pod instead of giving the Russians yet another SU-25.
BAE Hawk T.1A Red Arrows as a first premium GE in rank 6 but not sure indian Gnat F.1 would be 2nd premium GE or event vehicle
BAE Hawk T.1A could be after Hunter F.6 or Harrier GR.3 ?
Yak130 would have been more interesting
smt is still a really bad cas compared to all other vechicles
Just said it as an example
Depends on loadout. The hawks could have anything from a 30mm Gunpod to ASRAAM and AMRAAM.
Does the US one get any AMRAAMs?
I have no idea.
Agreed, but neither would’ve had thermals. They could’ve, and SHOULD do a dual-channel TV rework for Soviet planes so that they appear much like thermals without being thermals. The actual TV imagers are super sensitive and have been tuned so that they amplify certain lights and darks. Not a perfect comparative to Thermals, but certainly better, at least I’d think, than plain multi-color channel TV image. In fact, it would be nice for someone to bug report most of the Soviet TV’s on CAS planes as they probably shouldn’t be relaying images back in color. Would encourage a stealth rework at the same time.
If I was more well read, I’d do it, but I can’t in this busy season for my work anyways.
Also, the SM3 is an internal imager on the nose, not a pod.
The YaK-130 also shares the same internal SOLT-25 thermal imager as well, would’ve been 100x better plus it looks very cool.
I’d prefer the Americans getting the A-10C tbf
america already has alot of plane cas that is really strong no need for more
That’s Yak131
Would it look like this?

Just so it can suck as bad as the A-10A and we stop hearing the complaints?
I’m going to cautiously say yes, assuming this isn’t a trick. What’s the source, if you know?
Found this in MiG 29BM’s brochure.
I know its just a derivative and funny enough it could also use the Kopyo radar.
