Aim 9x and iris-t sls are pretty mich the same. They are compatible with each other
Amraam isnt to much thicker then aim 9x / iris-t.
But the iris-t already is way more chonky compared to it.
It is completly questionable how you are questioning the iris-t slm performance when its one of the beyt performing anti air systems in the world right now in an active conflict
7 inch to 5 inch
I’m sure the diameter measuring is quite accurate, about 7 inch, perspective won’t influence diameter, so unless the model has a wrong scale.
this means nothing
rather than saying this, you can help me find some information like the size of the MAN truck chassis.
no source. pixel measuring only providing size information
it would be more reasonable if you change China to US since I’m comparing it to AMRAAM as always.
anyway it’s just your superiority feeling on possibly getting a SPAA overwhelming everyone else so you can’t see anything that may make it normal/weaker.
i mean considering the size difference between the 2 and the fact that the left one is 87kg, it seems to be in the ballpark of 110-120kg.
So huh, same weight as a MICA basically, or a little bit more
Considering the missile came a bit before MICA and is optimized for ground launches, and considering said MICA in its 2020s variant (MICA NG) can reach 40km from the ground, i think the SLM range seems reasonable ?
Same goes for CAMM, the smallest one weights 99kg (a little lighter) and is said to reach “more than 25km”
