Even IF the drag changes buff the Rafale’s TTC, it’s not going to suddenly become F-15C/E and Typhoon equivalent in speed.
And do realize the JM 120 test is not done, and isn’t done on the 5 minute and 9 minute tests which matter more than FIF test.
But you do need it to launch a missile, quite often it switches during one engagement and then when I see another target, I’m in IRST for some reason, and by the time I’ve realised and switched, it’s too late and whatever I was trying to kill has shot me down, or something else has that I didn’t notice because I was too busy fighting with my radar

and the fact is, the difference in speed doesnt suddenly double the effective range of the Aim-120 fired from a Typhoon compared to if it was fired from a Rafale.
There is a greater difference in max speed between the Typhoon (2,149 km/h) and the F-15E (2,718 km/h) or Su-27SM (2,498 km/h) than there is to the Rafale (1,908 km/h)
The excuse that the “Typhoon is faster therefore the Typhoon is vastly superior in BVR combat to the Rafale” is a misleading statement at best. Especially given how much better the radar is.

The F-15E cannot go 2700kph, and the Typhoon goes over 2300kph.

Surprised they didn’t already add the Super Tigris with the rest of the Thai air stuff, hopefully it’ll be in soon.
Also hopeful for more French naval stuff besides Strasbourg. Without any post-war frigates or real missile boats, their coastal tree is pretty underpowered at the moment, and even the top of their Bluewater is underperforming compared to reality…

Agreed. French Coastal has some neat stuff in the middle, but its low tiers aren’t great and its capstone is the worst among all coastal vessels right now. It needs something, anything, to convince people to play it.
Bluewater’s top tier isn’t great with Dunkerque underperforming and Strasbourg getting pushed into an event vehicle, but at least it’s got some great stuff in the low and mid tiers.
