It absolutely can be made better, but whether they will or not is a different question, the IRST switching issue is the biggest problem for me though.
However, I guess there’s no reason the Captor E couldn’t be added, we are upgrading the aircraft for it, it’s just a matter of when, not if.
That was my screenshot I think from yesterday lol
I can’t argue with that, yes.
I would be more interested if they implement TV control of Spikes, machines like Puma and some others will live much better, having almost 2-3 guaranteed frags.
But for this, it will be necessary to redesign the maps in such a way that the Pumas will not be able to shoot at the respawn from their respawn, and in general, it is necessary to somehow prohibit shooting at the enemy respawn - SAMs/SPAA are too easy targets.
I know I saw people speculating that the F/A-18E was going to have ASEA but it still might not. Early E models had the AN/APG-73.
Yep, given just how little work its received in the past 2 months, im both dreading the next major coming with no changes at all or excited for it with it coming with loads
Wierdly, I dont think ive had it once. (But that might be due to how I use it within ASB)
Yep, if CAPTOR-M can be brought up to an acceptable level then end of this year, or early next would be best. Could and should come with the next Typhoon as one of the major upgrades for it alongside I would assume next gen A2A missiles.
That being said, if CAPTOR-M cannot be brought up to an acceptable level of performance. Then CAPTOR-E is needed ASAP.
(I am of the opinion that what they should do is “replace” the current Typhoons at their current BRs with the Typhoons that were skipped, Typhoon F2 for Britain for example and then upgrade the current Typhoons)
Yep, we’ll have to wait and see what they do. But knowing Gaijin and the US. AESA for the F-15C, F-15E and F-18E this year would not surprise me

@Morvran yeah we will have to wait and see. It would make sense for it to be ASEA given how short they had the 73.
Gimme that glorious j10
It tends to happen when doing severe defensive maneuvers, when the radar is near its gimbal limit, it switches to IRST and then refuses to switch back to radar, it can be a real pain if you don’t notice it and then can’t get a missile off. I imagine it doesn’t really happen in ASB due to the different way of flying.
They either need to give us the option to turn off auto switching, or allow radar missile to be launched through IRST, which should be possible anyways
I think ASEA will be introduced with the guidance of the Patriot, S300 and IRIS-T air defense missile systems, they all seem to be with ASEA. Well, and the ASRAD-R (10.3) available in the game is also with ASEA. In theory, this should give the developers some time to work out and configure.
AESA is already in the game
I’ve had it happen while the locked plane is notching, which is especially annoying when you are not using ARH missiles.
Or allow us to switch while keeping the lock.
you can do, it’s just weirdly unresponsive after the auto switch, however that doesn’t fix the issue that the mode will switch without you noticing and then by the time you do notice it already gotten in the way, I’d rather just turn it off altogether
And the main issue with it is Fox3s as you can’t launch a Fox3 from IRST
And on high-level planes? Ok. I understand, without a premium account and planes you can’t even try, I already experienced hell pumping high-level SAMs 😓
Rafale [14.0] and Kfir C10 [13.0] have AESA
Su-34 [13.3] has PESA
Also a heli and an SPAA have AESA
SAM? Which one? Pantsir S has only phased array, not ASEA.
Thought S1 was AESA
