I am tempted to pick up the premium hornet just because its the only way im getting one lol, I doubt the UK would get one and I dont got the motivation to actually grind out the entire US tree

Spain has no home in the game precisely because its vehicles keep coming as isolated and stray premiums across different tech trees (only to get removed later anyway)… some of us were hoping for a Spanish subtree/branch or even a combined Iberian tree with Portugal or something… and, instead, it appears our ingame presence will be limited to 1 Premium helicopter in one tree and 1 Premium Light Tank that was removed from the store on another tree. :/

I definitely wasn’t expecting the Super Hornet, much less that the F/A-18C would be a considered for a premium…
I did entirely expect that the A+ could come as a squadron vehicle, so hopefully that’s what we get as the premium. I’d definitely like to see the F/A-18C make its way into the TT though - being the best of the Legacy Hornets.
Either way, I’m at least excited that the US is getting its first AESA radar this patch. The Super Hornet is also better for CAS than the C, so that’ll be fun as well.

A Malkara HESH missile fired from at rat hole at the edge of the map is slowly approaching you, its movements are fitful and manually controlled. There is no escape.
12x AIM-120s and 2x AIM-9s is honestly kinda crazy…
Even if its flight performance is worse than Eurofighter’s, I am very interested on this plane; after all, FOX-3s are the meta; so having 4 more 120s is actually kinda neat.

the question is how many data link channels does it have tho, i doubt it will have the 8 the F15s have
I mean sure people have asked for the tracked rapier but you’d think that filling spaa holes or adding needed tanks would be higher priority then filling another 10.0 gap
I have a small theory about the Leo 2E or the Leo 2a6hel appearing as a squadron vehicles for germany, but with the entire sub tree thing I have my doubts :(
anyways I’m hoping to see the Leopard 2E and the Pizarro some day

So i was reading about the failure of Rapier missiles in the Falklands and apparently they dont have proxy fuses? Oof.
I definitely think the E will be interesting but it will still struggle against top tier opponents.
There are a few things the Super Hornet does improve upon over the C:
- Better high altitude thrust (iirc)
- 2 more pylons
- AESA radar
The issue is that the E is much heavier. The engines do help to make up for the added weight, but the TWR is still lower overall.
What will be wild is 6x AGM-65Fs though, those are basically AGM-65Gs.

It’s a little sad though, it can be better to have the Super Hornet later in future with AIM-120C, more close to it’s normal standard.
Agreed. I was expecting the C to come with 9M/120A and then the E/F could come with 120C-5s and eventually 9Xs
