Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

yamato isn’t as impenetrable as you make it out to be

It has massive raw thickness, but the angling is meh, and there’s no turtle back shenanigans on that one.

Iowa could get access to better fire control to compensate, as it did IRL. The 406mm AP is also nothing to scoff at

A nuke shell falling on a BB would simply kill everyone on board, armor or not.

Does your 500mm+ armored turret has ventilation ? too bad, in case of a nuke, everyone inside basically gets cooked.

It would be a free kill even with a near miss, it’s not balanced in any way.

As for subs, i suppose it could potentially be a trade off : getting closer to the juicy BB increases your chances of getting a hit, but is also riskier because you are getting closer to enemy Destroyers. Since they are not implemented yet however, it’s basically impossible to conclude on anything

I mean that’s the bottom line of this entire conversation, isn’t it? We’re arguing about how effective ships that aren’t in game will be against ships that also aren’t in game and declaring that we already need to give one side a potentially-game-breaking advantage in order to compete.

yeah it’s getting off topic tbh

The best we are getting in naval this update is probably Strasbourg and Warspite, we’re still quite a bit away from Yamato

what about Maryland?

sounds fair, but have they implemented this to the other ships that had more advanced FCS?

The startsreak is not bad💀 its great. Bad if you have bad wifi sure but its my best SPAA. I use it over the ADATS and everything. Takes out all jets and heli’s if you have skill.

fair point

Gaijin will do Gaijin things to balance things out, and when the time comes, complaining will then (maybe) be justified.

For now however, neither Yamato or Iowa are a reality in this game, so i don’t see a point in complaining about their potential future implementation.

I still think knowing what is known about these 2 ships, Iowa doesn’t need a nuke to compete, not to mention the balancing nightmare it will bring afterwards

AJAX can carry 6 brimstones aswell called the Overwatch Variant

I wouldn’t underestimate the CTA 40.

Even alone that thing will probably be very nasty

Wait, i missed a blog ?

Edit : ha nvm, it’s in the leak list. Didn’t see it

no, it was leaked though iirc

non-nuke iowa 8.0. yamato 8.3. nuke iowa 9.3

ofc, if they add carriers before yamato and iowa, nukes are completely unnecessary

If gaijin dont butcher it with their nonesense penetration calculator

Boxer while cool looks inferior to the Patria AMV LHM40 Modular Turret

as its basically the Warrior CSP/ Warrior 2 turret plonked on a patira hull with javelin pod bolted to the side

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

Mate, I’m using it myself and was also often picking it over the ADATS, but it definitely isn’t good enough to warrant the addition of another SPAA at a higher BR

imagine nuclear air to air rockets/missiles for planes discussion

Doubt, they rarely get devblogs, though for premium Ariete it can be an exclusion, especially if this tank gets a rework, would be a nice way to announce it and funny enough it would be the first devblog about Ariete tanks in general (if they don’t forget to post it lol).

Javelins on Ajax are entirely theoretical and probably wouldn’t come in game.
