Which is how long japan and now israel do no have radar equiipped sams at top tier ground and it is a major reason japan isnt played that much at top tier

Thank you for making an argument on why it makes sense to give it to japan to. Because gaijin likes to play select and choose copy and paste. Lets give uk one because well canada. But not japan cause ?
Also, the ADATS is a Joint US-Swiss.
And all of Canada’s dealings with the ADATS were done thru the Swiss and the companies involved(this includes the MMEV).
Canada was the only one to put into service the system really(on a mobile platform and in numbers)
You realize that service is what matters here right?
The US got their prototype one
and the UK got the Canadian service one
Now I don’t care particularly one way or the other about Japan getting one through the Thai subtree, even if that requires a little making stuff up, but there is nothing wrong or against the rules about how either tree’s ADATS was implemented. It’s kind of hard to argue that about a Thai one though

So when are you checking yourself in then? What is your reasoning that japan shouldnt get it because I dont think you honestly care about realism and historical accuracy

I’m not saying Japan couldn’t get Thai ADATS, for all we know it might be added if they slap it on some truck. The launcher is fully self propelled, so it would be possible.
Issue is we have no idea what truck, and it still has no radar, since that is separate. So it wouldn’t really solve the main issue. All Japan can really get is some SACLOS options (still without radar), which there are better options for, or superior fire and forget missiles (also without radar).
If you actually want radar, you either need them to implement multi vehicle systems (which they are working on according to leaks), or trailer based weapons so the Type 11 FCS vehicle can use a towed launcher.
Maybe Singaporean M113A2 UMI, which is MANPADS with a radar, so better than nothing, but Singapore is a bit on the fence right now
