Even if it ends up being AIm-9Ms and no Brimstones, things like the FLIR, updated cockpit, Gen 3 T-Pod, Mk103 engine and some other bits and bobs like TERMA, would make it a good upgrade over the Gr1.
Just really hoping that in the absense of Brimstones, it does actually get some new A2G loadout options, like ALARM
That’s because sub-trees in general are a bad idea.
The first one screwed over it’s host nation
The second as ok but Gaijin left out most of its unique stuff.
The third one was probably the best until we get into the Air tree.
Independent single nations have been better idea then and multi nation tree are a bad idea in general even more if they go over 2-3 nations.
So this variant has got a targeting sight, it’s the shorter of the two masts, (the taller one is the data link/guidance antenna), IRL it does have link-16 DL capability so it should be able to target off friendly radars, more realistically Gaijin will probably model it like the type-81 where you have to search for targets yourself.
while I would love to say it will, it probably wont hell we will be lucky if gaijin gives it a Gen 3 T-Pod lol I can totally see them just saying “here take slightly better engines a bugged flight model and Aim-9Ls”

also fake, they aren’t gonna skip the legacy Hornets straight to Super Hornets, and also I vaguely remember this being a user made loadout possibilities (Not to mention a lot of the weapons listed aren’t in game in any form) from the F/A-18 Hornet thread from ages ago

probably, it has AGM-88, which IIRC is a SEAD missile, Gaijin have said they don’t want to add those missiles in anytime soon as they target Radar bands not present in game
