The missiles would struggle to kill a lot of stuff, they’re intended to intercept cruise missiles and support aircraft (awacs, tankers, etc). Imagine the AIM-54s but with worse turn performance. They’re also the only missile it can get apart from some r-60s.
It’s also stupid fast so good luck catching it, and in a tail chase it should out energy a fair number of bvraams. The Mig-31 would be “better” in the that with later models the missile load includes R-77 & R-73

Yeah I know it’s not the best. Would still love it though. Especially for sim! Not every aircraft needs to be good at everything. Just something unique to spice things up.

Some were actually meant for Spain if I remember correctly. But with the German invasion they were made ready to defend our skies.

Exactly and that’s with all the vehicles. Not everything has to be meta or even good. It’s a game after all and games are supposed to be fun right?

Are you referring to the R-40 missiles? If so, how come? They were never designed to intercept miscellaneous targets. They were designed for air-to-air combat. Optimistically they could turn at a maximum of 24Gs and they burned for 8 seconds giving them great range.

Hmm, the number I’ve always seen is 8g, which is fine for sniping stuff at range, but that’s 9B levels of pull, which would leave it with r-60s which are kinda meh when countermeasures exists in the same postcode. The Mig-31 would be the better option in game with the better missile selection and better radar, (I’ve read the 25 has limited look down/shoot down capability)
