I mean if I get a light tank I’ll absolutely take it so then I can spawn a more effective SPAA (read Fighter) for less

The T2020 Phantom retains sparrow/amraam capability though, so it is possible for us to get that one ( would love to see it as an event one)
Whether it can or can’t isn’t the issue, its a simple matter of adding a second F-15 because ARH would increase its BR, potentially by a lot if multipathing gets what it deserves.
That being said I do think the F-15 we have in-game was the version that tested AIM-120B so maybe they’d toss that on as a way to convince themselves to decompress the Gen3/4 area.

Sparrow and AMRAAM? I’d have thought it would only be Sparrows but if it has the radar and can fire the AIM-120 then sure, I was always under the impression it was basically a more modern Kurnass 2000 for the TAF

You do realize same method applies to all other jets but somehow only Kurnass2k cant equip them at the same time right?
It has PaveStrike for Lasing and guiding while AGM65D’s can operate with their own IR guidance, i dont see a single reason why both armaments shouldnt be equipped at the same time.

This doesn’t spell too good for AAM-4. Could mean they might model it as a worse/heavier AIM-120A just as PL-12 is a worse/heavier R-77.
