again, explain to me how an 11.7 Leopard 2a6 helps UK, who has 3 11.7 tanks. When that Leopard even would end up being UKs best tank and would rob the uniqueness of the UK tree when everyone just ends up driving the leopard over the challenger

besides that we are talking about german leopards, i am not asking for a UK challenger or the like. The matter is about the a tank whose origin is germany in the first place
we discussed that yesterday, but the canadian 2a6, received gen 3 thermals, the UFP add on plate and multiple other upgrades, together with engine etc better hull overall it could end up being better then the challenger 3 TD
Does UK even need anymore toptier MBTs? There are already too many British MBTs in game. Britain needs light tanks and SPAA.

I’ll explain, because your German main nature makes it hard to comprehend.
Germany air and UK 11.7 are the same. The MiG-29, MiG-29G and F-4F ICE fill/will fill the top tier gap just like the 11.7 Challengers are filling the 11.7 gap. The thing is that neither fill those gaps well, which is the key.
The German MiG-29s won’t have FOX 3 and the ICE that has fox 3 is still a third gen platform. At the same time the 11.7 Challengers are some of the worst 11.7 tanks, with only the Ariete and Merkava beating them for that title.
So yes, the 2A6M CAN fills the gap of a capable 11.7 MBT for the british tree just as much as a swiss F-18C would fill the 4th gen fox 3 carrier gap for the German tree.

of course it depends on the point of addition, its specialy right now, a real challenger 3 could /should be better then a leopard 2a6cam

and i am gonna explain it to you again as well because its different. the MiG-29, MiG-29G and F-4F ICE might be br range 12.0-13.0. The problem comes afterwards The Eurofighter was multiple times comfirmed to be very far away. We possibly are locking at a Eurofighter being BR 14.0 or higher for all we now. So there is a BR gap from 1.0 which in ARB is completly deadly and makes you fodder material.
In comparison UK has 3 11.7 vehicles the 2a6 cam would just be another 11.7 vehicle. It fills no gap here. It only strengthen the line up. Additionaly the same line up could be filled by the Indian tanks which would make more sense for the UK tree simple as that
