Gaijin never had plans to add bomber cockpits, there is no point of them adding it. plus it literally cost gaijin resources to do so, iirc it can take up 5 months to get the right source material and to do the cockpit right
None yet, Dev season is different this year as stated by gaijin devs on RU forums.
yea the Sunderland is very simple
there is one remaining and you can find a million pircutes of it
it just doesn’t happen
it simply just isnt priority, since bombers arent that popular (ignoring ju 288c) are hard to balance etc
Its simply a financial thing imo, they can either spend that money modelling the Sunderlands cockpit or for example, a new Jet or tank for top tier, or a new premium instead.
I am aware, thus I chose it to compare to the Tornado FM
they won’t do it as they don’t care about the tornado
Eh, FM is more coding than anything else. Hence why people are rightfully annoyed about it, as it is a relatively simple change compared to hours in a 3D art software modelling a new cockpit.
Because they out source people, plus that is one cockpit and in gaijin ow words, they won’t add bombers cockpits .
how are weeks of work coding a Physics simulation any different from spending the same weeks in a CAD software?
Well… again, in the Tornado case. Not only has it been 15 months, but the code should already exist and be fully functional. New stuff I get maybe taking some time. But the Tornado… really ?
I played 5 years but not accustomed gaijin change plan drop first devblog season this year and change plan first major update
Well, if its going to be a major delay between patches, I think we can safely say there will be a lot of content, and new mechanics at each patch. On a new cycle, with 3 or 4 majors a year, at least one less than the old cycle.
At the risk of wish-listing, it seems Gaijin can now spend more time refining mechanics, fixing performance bugs, and addressing major issues with existing vehicles amongst many other things. Maybe this is why they scrapped the event schedule too. Easier to drip feed vehicles that in their own words, occasionally came from a pool of vehicles in the passed on to developers threads that didn’t quite have a home in previous events. Make the event just short enough and just satisfying enough and you can satiate people’s desire for the old development cycle, and free up the large amount of resources that go into designing and creating the surrounding material for events that honestly goes mostly unappreciated by us all. I’m speculating, but I bet this means they have more development power to get larger tasks going now. We might even see more decompression.
If they are slowing down updates to slow the progression into more and more high-tier vehicles/mechanics, then I bet we are getting more updates that flesh trees out. More “lateral” patches than ones that push the limits of current technology. I’d expect more IFV’s for everyone, large caliber MBT project tanks, multirole variants of current planes, and a large focus on the rest of the roadmap mechanics already promised and announced.
I don’t think anyone should be in a rush to get into an F-22 or Su-57 etc., it’s better to cherish what we have now. Just my two cents.
Yeah, Id be more than happy if they spent the next year actually fixing/finishing what we do have. Though id hope for some new stuff.
Ive played for 11 years and ive seen it change numerous amounts of times. its just the potentially “old” format no longer works for their plans.
Smin already clarified that this is something with the roadmap and not the update however
I’m definitely wish listing now. Shoot me gaijin…
In the next year, I’d personally like to see the following:
- Appropriate thermal pod for USSR/Ru CAS (at least one plane).
- Su-30M for CAS (in whatever patch the F-15C comes in).
- More BMD’s and BMP-3 variants where appropriate.
- At least two vehicles with Arena APS (BMP-3 and T-80-UM1 are best candidates here).
- BTR-90, Zhalo, and other wheeled vehicles for USSR.
- Strela 1, Osa, and TOR M1 for USSR.
- Su-24 and/or Su-24M
- Air RB EC mode where we can finally do some PvE CAS.
I think that’s a modest list, and is achievable. Of course it would be nice to see new maps, proper redesigned maps, and my personal big request, which would be a rework to Medals in game.
I’d love to get a “Hero of the USSR” but because I didn’t start playing USSR until after the last rework, I only have 6/500 survivor medals needed. At this rate I’ll have the award somewhere around June of 2353. I also don’t want to have to grind low tier again until I finally capture another 486 flags in the Berlin map. As it stands, we barely get enough Mozdok (not that I like the map), and I don’t think you can get Ladoga below 6.0 Air RB. It would be nice if they made them more achievable, either by rotation changes/map changes, or by lowering the requirements.
Just my two cents, of course.
What T-pod options does Russia even have? Some french export that was test-fitted to one plane once?
Angry French noises
6k posts, dang…any news for Japan?
