I’m not sure if the F-20 was ever actually capable of carrying and shooting AMRAAMs, as the testing for the aircraft stopped (?) before the AMRAAM was completed.

Unfortunately, even if this wasn’t a mockup, devs said they don’t accept ordinance mounted on the plane for display as proof of it being capable of carrying it, most notably the PGM500 being denied for Italy I think
