Besides, Germany needs a top-tier premium. Both of theirs are 11.0 and neither are very good.

I have sneaking suspicion that F-20 will be VII rank premium for chinese tech tree
(And no, not because of the leak list)
US has 3 rank VII premiums (F-5C, F-4S and A-6E TRAM)
Germany has 2 rank VII premiums (Tornado WTD61 and 21bis Lazur)
China has only 1 and that’s J-7D

And in an age where most players who finished one or more trees, they would usually prefer base bombing with a premium plane to boost up the process. Currently there are no Chinese premiums that can destroy an entire base. So that is plausible.
On the other hand, there are several upgrades to the F-5E by Taiwan and its not neccessary to make a new model. China is probably getting a ground premium as well.

Honestly, if the F-20 is coming, I can’t really see it going to any other nations than the US.
That’s kinda the precedent that’s been set, seeing as other nations never really got to trial any of the production standard prototyps (2 and 3)

Agreed, F-20 should be US only, unless it ends up as a US premium, then I’d rather rather see it as a premium for other countries and a tech tree for the US at the same time

Currently there is only the F5E in that line for US Rank 7, I agree I’d like to see it placed there rather than as a US Premium

Unfortunately, it is highly likely they will make the most capable and best variant of the F-20 a premium…and then maybe the first prototype will be added in 3+ years
