A new tree for sure but I heavily doubt China Naval, they’re less viable than a Swedish naval tree.
At least whilst we are limited to guns predominantly.

I think you are right, i suspect they will be for a future chinese naval tree, but in the future once we start getting more missile armed vessels. Currently its still very much gun armed vessels with ASHM’s being more of a gimmick currently.

I wish they’d put South Korean tanks in there…
It would be a strange deviation of order to give someone else a navy before China, but on the other hand we have also seen French helicopters and ground before the Italian, so it wouldn’t be entirely unheard of.
Also Israeli and Swedish helicopters.

The devs really need some time go gather sufficient yet accurate information for ICN/ROCN/PLAN vessels; there’s isn’t too many images and exact blueprints for them, while some of them were much “nerfed” than their original form.
So yeah… Chinese navy TT is something, but not really the first priority and really troublesome to make

who’d they CP from?
Anything before PLAN/ROCN by 1950s are mostly identical to their foreign counterparts or sometimes nerfed like heck (i.e. Yukikaze replaced Type 3 12.7cm dual cannons with American single-barrel cannons)
yes but what foreign counterparts? did they buy soviet ships? Japanese ones? British?

It would go up to a 5.0 worthy cruiser and then a huge gap until like missile armed ships.
NRAN got their ships mostly from German (S-boot) and two Japanese (CLs), as well as one British CL (ROCN Chongqing); PLAN were formed with many captured ROCN-acquired trophy ships from IJN
Problem with a Chinese navy with is they will mainly stop at cruisers not even sure if they have a BB available to them…they start to become more better once missiles become a thing

German torpedo boats and some old timey destroyers. U-boats were in plan but never made it

It would certainly be strange but the issue is there’s just nothing to go there as of current. No heavy cruisers or battleships or battlecruisers.
Meanwhile someone such as Sweden could at least get up to 6.3 worth battleships at a stretch.
Until we get missiles more implemented in naval i just really don’t think a Chinese naval tree is where they should focus.
I’d rather they beefed up the air tree with things like the J-10, Jf-17, F-CK-1 and the ground with IFV’s.
