Speed isn’t as relevant in BVR as much, especially since most BVR IRL is done at mach 0.9 regardless of aircraft.
Us WT players are weird and will punch a missile at mach 1.5 toward the enemy.
WVR reduces significantly with the AMRAAM.
Also don’t post terms that could gaslight others, not helpful to discussion.
A BVR F-18 is going to be better than every single AARH capable jet in WT currently and to come.
Gaijin’s not going to release 8+ AARH carriers next major update cause people beg for it; they’re going to see how 4 & 6 function on jets for months on end before they come to their next jump decision as they did with AIM-9Bs, R-60Ms, with AIM-9Ls, AIM-9M/R-73s, and so forth.
Yeah, no. In Bvr speed and altitude are king. Most bvr being done at .9 mach is bs too. At least in nato, pilots try to have as much energy as physically possible on launch and then they slow down after the missile is launched. Until they fix multipathing, which they likely won’t, we will still have plenty of wvr in war thunder.

So they fixed the sparrow launch range and nerfed the aim54. Just saw that in the recent datamines.

54 will bleed less with lower AoA though of the fins (lower CL and thus lower CDi). Might be a blessing disguise.
