Is internal ESM the mechanic that gives ID on locked targets with ARMs?
No, internal ESM is where something like Su-30SM2 can still detect and see where SAMs are even after you’re done with ARMs. Currently NATO aircraft can only see ESM screen and find SAM targets when having ARMs attached.

This is less of a question and more of a complaint. It has been 3 years this September since the current iteration of IR missiles has existed at top tier, namely with the Mig-29SMT being added with R-73 in September of 2023. When are developers going to seriously consider adding next-gen IR missiles for everyone? 3 years has been plenty of time already.
As we have previously explained, the next generation of IR missiles represents a larger than any previous leap in terms of capabilities compared to previous improvements. As such, considering their significance and how drastically they would impact the meta, a number of factors have to be considered carefully that defines when it would be possible to add them.
