Pretty unjustified as well, the MiG-25PD seems to be pretty good in its niche.

the numbers quoted on this forum for shard make it barely better considering F1 already gets 660mm at 60 or if we are being generous and see quoted as 2km, it would still be worse than dm53

Some of the brilliance of the Penguin Mk 3 was that it only required the same connectors as the AGM-12b. A new adapter was created to sit between the Penguin and the AGM-12 rail. The F-5s, if at all, were probably not compatible to use the Penguin until their databus got upgraded during the Tiger-PAWS upgrade package in the mid 90s.
