But if facing off against potentially 16x Aim-120Ds, on a platform that can reach high speeds easily to yeet them effeciently and negates most of the remaining weaknesses of the F-15C GE like a better RWR… Then what reason is there for not adding Aim-120C8 / Ds to the Typhoons? (maybe also the Gripen E?)
Su-35S for Russia, Rafale F.4 for France and maybe Indonesia, J-16 for China, what else?

Not just new airframes, but adding GNSS Fox-3s to all nations for example

The AIM-120C-8 does not have anything over the C-5 that would be represented in game. Gaijin has neglected to implement EW and lofting improvements in general.
The C-8 is not an export 120D, like many wrongfully believe.
In other words, the C-8 LACKS:
- 2-way DL
- GNSS
- HOBS limit removal

Sadly I’ve seen people bullied and censoring/treating nations names like swear words was a big part of it.
So I find those jokes the least funny. As it takes next to nothing to turn it into a way to hurt somebody.

Afaik, 120Ds are not used by European countries outside of their F-35s.

Aim-120Ds are almost certainly compatible, but why use them over the superior Meteor?
Given the extent of the upgrade over the 120C-8, it’s not guaranteed to be able to make use of the 120D’s upgrades.
For example, Gaijin refused to add the AIM-7P to the F-14B because they don’t believe it can make use of the DL reconnect, so there’s no point in adding it.

Given that the RAF and soon Luftwaffe operate Aim-120Ds for their F-35s (as the US cant be bothered to intergrate Meteors) it would make sense that they made sure the Typhoons could also equip Aim-120Ds, especially to maintain interoperability between NATO.
Heck, a major limitation of the Meteor MLU has been the degree it can be upgraded so that it remains compatible with the recessed hardpoints that were originally designed to fit Aim-120. Unless Aim-120Ds are a radically different size and shape, I cant think of any reason why it wouldnt be compatible.
and again, this is a game where you have Typhoons with Aim-9Ms, Brimstone 1s, etc. I think giving them Aim-120Ds wouldnt exactly be a stretch.

I love how people are saying the list is fake due to gaijin denying Korea for Japan but I would like to ask these same people, did you believe gaijin when they denied top tier premiums. Who to say they won’t go back on there denial again after the a millionth time ?
