Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Wouldn’t they be the same model, so they’d likely be added at the same time (like M44s/M55s)

They have the potential here to add AMX-13/105 and Scorpion 90 to France + Britain respectively, while also adding it to Japan. I think the Leo2A4 is just a natural addition aswell. I wouldn’t be surprised if it drops with those 3 + 2RI.

In a bit of a stretch, the Pandur can be added for Russia aswell through Czechia since bvvd did speak about “wheeled vehicles for Russia” quite a while ago now, and they haven’t got any (as far as I’m aware) since he mentioned it. The reason why it’s a stretch is obvious, Czechia is not a USSR subtree but that didn’t stop them adding Czech L-39 + Praga (that both as far as i’m aware, have no link to Russia/USSR)

There’s some minor differences to the British demonstrator and the production models (sight hoods, swimming gear etc), but if it gets added to both I can see gaijin just Stingraying it and putting the production model in the manufacturer’s tree

may be out of topic, but i just switched OS and my post fx settings look so trash, anyone know some good settings i could use?

Spoiler

the clouds are blinding and everything looks blurry

I always assumed that’d be their nato style 8x8s, uh Atom and bumberang or something?

eh considering they havent added the UKs collection of T-80s I doubt they will.

give britain our T80U

It’s a joke and I doubt they will either way since that BMP-2 is entirely for display and has never been used even for OPFOR duty.

So as far as we know, Israel will go another update without receiving any significant content. This is disappointing since it is one of the tech trees that currently needs the most improvement, and we aren’t even getting Greece/Cyprus as subtrees yet.

Thailand fitted domestic batteries to some of their Stingray tanks in 2024 to replace the outdated stock lead-acid ones. Not sure if these are represented in game at all, if it was that’d be one more reason why the Thai configuration shouldn’t be considered a production standard, if not it’s still interesting anyways.

Thai made Li-ion batteries in the Stingray

The same was done for the VT-4 as well.

I was more referring to the fact the Stingray in both trees in game is representative of the Thai service models (ignoring the poor trapped driver), rather than the american prototypes.

(Fun trivia though. Although personally I question going Li-ion rather than a more stable chemistry like LiFePo4)

Talking about indonesia ground subtree…how about their Air sub tree?i think they have nice aircraft too for fill the japan tech tree

japan does not need more aircraft other than maybe one 14.7 jet

A rafale?yes if remember…but that was F4 variant and not F3R in the game…“maybe” that thing will go at “15.0”

Indonesia operates F.4.1 and as long as MICA NGs are not in question, the difference between the F.4.1 and F.3R don’t warrant a BR increase IMO - its literally just AASM-1000, larger cockpit MFDs and new IRST, at least for whats currently game relevant - perhaps also TALIOS TGP but even F.3R would already have it.

I see. Since gaijin will just gonna use the mica em for this rafale soo…14.7 is solid br for this thing maybe

Again using need, The logic of sub nations tech need is never a reason to limit stuff nor adding stuff. If that air force used it it will go in.

japan doesnt need a rafale considering they have f15s su30s gripens f16s f18s mig29s etc most they should get is an upgraded f2 variant

This is such a questionable choice given the extreme instability of Li-ion but ok lol
