That’s not how it works lmao that one in particular was a small delivery of ebrs for the German border guards (what they didn’t like) that’s why they received the Y plate and German flags. The Y plate is restricted to bundeswehr vehicles only not any army’s vehicles within Germany
Heres a american tank within Germany without a German bundeswehr plate.
Ultimately because a vehicle is stationed in a country doesn’t meant they use that army’s plate often times they just don’t use one
your slower than everything else (cr2e aside) you have a worse sustained rof than everything else (cr3td aside sort of) you have a worse round compared to everything else (cr3td aside) you have bigger weakspots compared to everything else

Also btw the french didn’t have that base in Germany until 1989 (operational use) the ebrs were retired 2 years before that that so it would make no sense for them to be their because 1 the unit based their was 3e Régiment de Hussards who retired their ebrs in 1981 for the newer amx 10.
so in all honesty your timeline makes no sense oh and it was actually the headquarters for the regiment so it likely didn’t have any permanently stationed equipment or any equipment like ebrs or amxs

As WW2 vehicles are the additions I look forward to the most (with only Canadian vehicles in the UK tree, ending up higher on my hype list)
Even if I don’t always get a around to playing them right away as they’re in a tree I’m not actively playing (or won’t play) or have ended up as unobtanium.
