I think only the Gripen has 16, the Eurofighters for example can carry more (like 22-24?). 28 wouldn’t be that crazy. Annoying as an SPAA to delete each of them , but not too crazy. IMO, anyway.

It kinda is though.
Technically SAL is MITL and there is a mode of operation where its FnF after being designated by a laser spot. This mechanic is a hairs breadth away from that.
- Fire at a location
- mark a target with a laser
- Brimstone becomes FnF when it enters range.
This is broadly speaking what this mechanic will do for all other missiles, without the need to be physically in LoS of the target only the missile.
- Fire at a target location
- When it enters range, swtich to DL view and mark a target for the FnF
So if anything, other FnF weapons will still be waaaaay more powerful than a Brimstone with Mode 2 operation
