Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Speaking of, the article abt it on the gaijinnet website was rather different from the official WT and forum versions:

Gaijin Entertainment announces that strategic bombers carrying conventional and nuclear weapons will become a new class of military vehicles in the online action game War Thunder. These giants will be joining the already available tactical aircraft, helicopters, ground vehicles, bluewater and coastal navy. The first test of these mighty machines has started today and will last until April 13th.

War Thunder players have had limited access to nuclear weapons for a while now in the form of streaks, which allowed them to spawn a nuke carrier if they performed well enough. Going forward however, these nuclear-cable aircraft will have their own research branch, introducing nuclear weapons to classic combined arms battles. Ground vehicles with high levels of protection still have a good chance of surviving tactical nuke blasts. They will not have as much of a chance against strategic strikes however, but teams can counter these attacks effectively by utilizing skillful air defense strategies.

EDIT: forgot the link

This doesn’t seem to match w/ what we’ve been told abt the actual plan for NT, but it might explain some of the reliable leaks we had abt it. The wording is similar, even though plans might have changed since it was written.

Embt 2018 maybe

@Smin1080p_WT Hello. I just want to ask how it happened that PGZ88 was released only almost 6 years after its announcement? No, really, without any negativity, it’s just interesting. Maybe it was due to the small amount of information on this car?

I think that’s just the april fools post, it usually lies about/embelishes what the event actually is. Look back at previous years and you see similar “plans” in these posts such as lowering the age rating to 4+ for the tailspin event

Sound mods and this:

Infantry was also an " April Fool’s joke"

But it’s much more believable than it used to be in the infantry.

I mean I have been a Forum Mod for a few years now and I could comfortably say in the terms of the whole player base compared to those whom are also active on the English speaking Forums wouldn’t even account for ~0.5%

Honestly it’d probably be in hundredths, the Chinese community have their own forums, lots of reddit/discord communities and social media (especially shortform like reels and tiktok) generally has way more than the forum.

Saving this for the Senrai Maidens part 02 but I deploy it early.

I was a mod once so I can sympathize with there un-paid line of work.

USSR has no western vehicles so USSR mains can’t experience it without going through different nation. That’s why USSR mains are so delusional about western tech.

Here’s a question, obviously warthunder has its presence on youtube & instagram & twitter & such. But does warthunder have official threads/acounts on places like the chinese community forums or reddit?

hello niche community

not a clue, i think there’s Chinese-speaking staff on this forum but im not 100% sure about things like Baidu (which I assume operate more like Reddit rather than this forum)

Yes, the number of our players is increasing, and there are also very active Chinese chat communities.

Yet it is the only place where you actively know Gaijin reads you in some shape or form and get answers from officials.

Any other interaction on social media regarding War Thunder, wether on Youtube, Instagram, Twitter or Reddit is straightup interaction farming.
