Europe has run out of actually better planes and can only receive upgrades in the weapons territory and I don’t think the USSRs and Chinese trees options would “crush” an F-15EX
Tbf, the buffs they can receive might as well make it a completely different plane.

I’m not looking forward to any of the next gen weapons and planes
The only good thing that might come out of their addition is Gaijin being forced to go back and add older vehicles
Could have picked any one off variant if they were dead set on an F-16 event. Could have picked:
- F-16ES
- F-16/79
- F/A-16
- A-16
- YF-16
- F-16 VISTA MATV
- F-16XL
Or if they wanted something for France could have picked something like the Mirage G or Mirage III V.
Or going with the horse theme the OV-10 Bronco.
But no, I reckon 2026 isn’t the year of the horse but instead is the year of actual C&P with a WT Live skin slapped on.

Would I have been happy seeing something like the Mirage G or III V locked behind an event? Hell no
Given that they already gave us rank IV in the form of 3 soviet planes, I expect rank III vehichles at the highest.
At this point, I’m 90% the event is more centered around the nations over the vehicle, tho in the case it should have been ROC F-16. Eh, I’m 90% sure it’s Dutch do to the complaints all the modern/high tier BeNeLux additions for aircraft have been Belgian.
After all, nations and line-ups can be long seen as more important to WT/Gaijin then unique. Sadly a good chunk of the player base is blind to these facts and rather tell you to be happy to not be able to use stuff that serviced together in the same line up. (They don’t realize that’s the same as hating those nations.)

It’s a double edged sword. Events require quite a bit of time, so you would want the reward to be worth it at the end of it. However, events require too much time for some people, so their only option to acquire the vehicles is by spending money. No one wants to, or should have to, spend money to acquire something unique.

From which mostly is premium due to the new introduction of Rank IX and people wanting to have more premium Rank VIII options to grind to Rank IX - while also introducing Rank IX premiums at the same time.
