Day 1079 of waiting for Polish tech tree

Nothing really. DARIN-III Jaguars are pretty much identical regardless of if they’re IS or IM. You can only tell by reading if the serial number on the tail begins JM or JS

What radar does it have

the IM is the navalised Jags, more fuel better gear etc.
would be a more unique version

EL/M-2052

same AESA as on the Kfir C.10 iirc

Could also have an early IM with Agave

talking explicitly the Darin 3 IM, main feature being the AESA radar set

Is the Dev blog start close?
Is it perhaps in the room with us?

Please increase the probability and damage of BMPT/72 turret chain explosion. It is unreasonable and unbalanced not to cause harm without partitions

probably in a week or two
Smin said the CM disclosure is out either end of this week or more likely next week. Devblogs are normally a little after iirc

Does the D3 use the Dea Eagle, or do they use something else?

Would the DARIN III get Listening III?

Sea Eagle is long out of service. They probably use Exocet or a local one.

Bit complicated.
The DARIN III development aircraft, which was a converted IM (JM255) was fitted with an EL/M-2052 AESA radar in mid 2017, and that was the intended radar for DARIN III. But the AESA radars, couldn’t meet the delivery schedule for DARIN III so India apparently bought more EL/M-2032 radars instead to install on the first batch of single-seat DARIN IIIs - EL/M-2032 being the radar that had been used for a previous Jaguar IM upgrade to replace Agave.
DARIN IIIs are supposed to have the AESA radar nowadays, but it’s not clear if that’s all of them.

As it stands, there don’t seem to be many photos of Jaguar IM online that have the full DARIN III equipment with Tarang RWR, IFF on the nose, Litening pod carriage (with removed starboard cannon) and the folding spotlight on the starboard intake.
JM256 which is in the background of this photo is one of the Jaguar M DARIN IIIs, and you can compare it to a Jaguar IM without those DARIN III external modifications. However JM252 here does include partial DARIN upgrade components like the VOR antenna on the tail, and countermeasure dispensers which were added to Jaguar IM when the original Agave radar was replaced by the mechanical EL/M-2032 radar.

JM255 had DARIN III features like the gun deletion, and spotlight by the time it did the AESA trials, but not the new IFF and RWR antennas. So it looked sort of mid-way between the two Jaguar IMs above.

JS163 was the first Jaguar IS to get a radome and it had all the DARIN III features from the start

But that was photographed in early late 2016/ early 2017. So it would have been before an AESA was flown on JM255, meaning IS-based DARIN III aircraft would also be using EL/M-2032 initially.

I think you’re mistaking it for Jaguar M: The planned carrier-capable Jaguar for France.
Jaguar IMs have the same landing gear as any other Jaguar, and just differed by having a radar (Agave initially) for attacking surface ships with Sea Eagle, then later Harpoon.
