this is actually my biggest worry for the future especially, with things like the f35 b or c and the j20 (possibly su57 I don’t know if it has an internal gun). with how half the player base ripples missiles and does nothing else at the beginning of the match a lot op bad players are gonna just immediately pull old f14 strat of reloading immediately while the missiles go over and over.

this the more I think about it, this is my key annoyance the location of canards is so far forwards it just makes it look like a rectangle with 4 slightly different sided triangles at all ends.

Oh I can bet without hesitation, when we’ll get there top tier will be incredibly mid and boring due to that. It will just be spam missiles, dodge missiles, reload until one side fails to evade and dies

This precisely. If the canards were closer to the wings, perhaps even slightly merged with them like the elevators of the Su-57, it would surely look far better
god its one of those things were it makes me want a ranked mode so I could at least spend 10 mins in ques to fight a smaller lobby of competent players.
This would also be so frustrating for 4.5 gen jet players

I do like a lot of the Soviet designs, but the 29s and the Flankers don’t do it for me
I wish they went through with the MiG 1.42/1.44, that was a design I could get behind
Thinking about it, I don’t really like any of the 4th gen plane designs we have in-game, except for the Gripen and the Jeff

I think the wings itself need to be larger cause it still looks terrible if you imagine the canards further back.
the wings just feel so damn small.

man I am interested to see the mig31 in game like I’m not a fan of the aircraft personally it is more rocket then aircraft. but good pesa radar long range missiles and good speed/acceleration. I wonder where it would be placed 5 years from now.(cause we know there gonna make us weight until we near 6th gens lol.
I kinda prefer the Yak-141s design, but both are great
