Are there any plans on adding the AAM-4B and AAM-5 missiles as well?
Since the Japanese airframes carrying those missiles are only allowed to carry 4 SARH missiles at a time (F-2A and F-15JM with only 4xAAM-4).

Romania is even more maddening since we had 3 unique Romanian planes and a Heli (of which only one is TT). Then Hungary joins Italy with a fair few unique ground units, Romania finally gets a new TT addition after ages only for it to be a one to one Osa clone and the IAR-93B is event locked, followed by the Mig-29 Sniper becoming an overpriced premium.

And that can change later on? because to be honest amraam D-3 would be not enough when meteor and stuff like come, so in my opinion D3 woukd be the right choice right now, not as good of a HOBS capability as other missiles tho in BVR would be better than most

No. Range doesn’t matter (I mean it does but at super long range everyone is going to notch it anyway). Only thing the AMRAAM doesn’t lack. Better HOBS and better acceleration at short range would make it better.

I don’t doubt that better HOBS and acceleration would make it better, but if neither base AIM-120D or AIM-120D-3 doesn’t introduce better HOBS, then AIM-120D-3 should be added anyway and baseline skipped tbh.
Honestly they should just added all next gen IR missile (even if some one the would be OP) instead of 120D and buff 120C since 9X would solve HOBS issue of AMRAAMS and with fixing of 120C, it would have been a good ARH missile

What else is there to it other than HOBS capability and acceleration? Increasing the range doesn’t matter. Everyone figured out how to defeat these missiles at long range by either notching, turning away or multipathing. People rarely die to to those 40+km shots.
Problems are:

There’s public reports for AMRAAM maneuverability but the reports are about the terminal maneuverability and not the HOBS

There’s little to no reports for the AIM-120C, other than the seeker fov that applies to it as well.

Buffing the C buffs the Eurofighter, doesn’t solve the issue of US suffering in toptier in the first place.

US tree is already bad at top br gameplay with current fox-3s. Keeping the current fox-3s or buffing the C and then adding next-gen IR missiles means that the US now has HOBS with the AIM-9X sure, but it is going to be out-ranged by the ASRAAM and MICA IR on the Rafale/Eurofighter, so the situation will be even worse than now.
