What’s funny is, the 120D wouldn’t even be needed if the 120Cs were properly implemented
Fair enough, I hadn’t fully checked the missile data sheet yet.
So “worst case” scenario if they change nothing it’s going to be a small qol improved version of the 120C-5? I guess we will find out in a couple of weeks if they do change anything about it.

I think fin AoA but im am not too sure either
AMRAAMs aren’t missing range nor energy, and these are basically irrelevant gameplay-wise so long as they remain to be bricks incapable of pulling enough Gs to catch up with targets making basic turns.
Average aim 120C discussions. Everyone agrees that it’s not modeled correctly but no one can actually explain what exactly, appart from the seeker

Just a few examples:
- AIM-120 Reduced Smoke Motor
- AIM-120A & B - Max range against non-manoeuvring targets too low
- AIM-120A & B - Performance against manoeuvring targets too poor
- AMRAAM Beamwidth currently too large.
And these reports are already over two years old and are accepted since then too. No fix in sight whatsoever.

Now that the US and China are getting AIM-120D and PL-12A to put it on par with other countries overall capabilities, what should be the next iteration of missiles to be added?

Next-Gen IR. I need HOBS capabilities and most next gen IR missile can do that :)
