Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Yeah, a lot of old mechanics could also do with a polish

Pretty much 99% of the game then lol

SAMP/T cannot use ASTER-15 taking in count the public information we have disponible about this system.

I think it’s inevitable to come sooner or later. The balance of CAS vs SPAA is an everlasting arms race where the scale tips from one to the other every so often.

SPAA enjoyers can look forward to 70km+ missile systems, but may also need to consider what Gaijin will give CAS to compensate. Anti-radiation missiles maybe? Jammers and ECM?

Might be finally time for MMW

Some nations realistically dont have big enough draw with vehicles gaijin could choose. (Referring to the nations that lack triple vehicle packs.)

I also like flying CAP but like you said it’s a fine balance, wouldn’t want ground RB to become “Air RB at home”

The SEPv3 is a great addition and I have been waiting for it for 2 years now. However the BUSK bradley would be pretty useless. It would just be a M3A3 but worse, since it would be less mobile while the era will do pretty much nothing to help it.

had this the other day. Was rather pissed.

Harrier with GBU is only 14 SP more than a Tornado F3 with AMRAAMs

M2A4 with APS would be cool

Conveniently ignores the SAMP/T
That’s if it gets Aster-30

afaik (which isn’t much) the SAMP has only ever used the 30?

Yeah, well I think it’ll be balanced, the Aster-30 has a longer range but Buk-M3 has the engagement ceiling and missile speed advantage.

I mean it would still be unbalanced. AAs like the Spyder, CLAWS, Tan Sam, EldE and CS/SA5 barely get to 12-15km effective range if they are lucky and if the enemy plane is AFK.

Honestly as far as ground goes i am only excited for the Oplot and BMD-4M2. Kinda disappointed its not a BMD-1,2 or 3 personally but it is what it is.

Also still have some hopium we might see the BTR-3s for the Thai subtree but i am doubtful they will show up.

Oh, it just clicked. If the Commonwealth Hornets are the only ones coming this update(or are coming at all), they reused the Hornet teaser on purpose.

Due to them being legacy ones. As pointed out, it could also be the Mosquito on the list. (but the first answer feels right, tho I could be overthinking it)

Qing 6 is really neat to hear, hopefully it’ll be the first researchable turboprop aircraft. And if it 's not, I’ll be sad.

But not as sad as I would be if I didn’t know that the Be-6 has an unused PRC camo, which could be used to create a researchable flying boat for the CHN techtree in it 's stead

Regarding the advanced Thai F-5 's,
The SCU, currently the only researchable version, has unused loadouts for AIM-9M and unused nodes for underwing Python 3 's

The F-5TH ( Third Capability Upgrade ) is capable of carrying even more advanced missiles than it seems we’ll be getting this update, too.

Something that 's been on my mind for awhile is the original camo that appeared on the first Thai F-5 that came to the game:

Which was replaced w/o explanation during the devserver.

Something I’ve considered for awhile is that it could come as a different-appearance copy of the sqn FCU, or as a base model F-5E w/ 2x AIM-9P, to maintain the provision for a lineup in Ground modes if the SCU/TCU get their more advanced AAM 's, which then displace them to higher BR 's.

Four nations will have effective SAMs, shouldn’t be much of a issue.

or you know,
just fix the spyder.
no i-derby-er, no aesa radar (what?), python 5 unstable flight, Spyder can launch rockets not only in 90 degree angle, and missing radar scanning to about -25 degrees,
Python 5 still lacks it’s data link as well so it’s range gets butchered, and so on

People are getting 12km range in the Elde? Thats definitely a record lol
